View Full Version : Got my first bike back today!
My old Ex500 made its way home, I am very excited! I'm not sure what I want to do with it, keep it or sell it. It is in pretty rough shape because it has been sitting outside for a few years, but it starts and runs with no issues.

Nice. Where was it and how did you get it back? I was just thinking about my R6 today and would love to have it back.

I gave it to my brother 7 years ago for his high school graduation, he rode it through college and for a few years after that. Now he lives in India and is only in the states for a month or two a year so he gave it back to me, signed the title and said to have fun.

Nice. I can't see that happening with my old bike.

Thats too cool. Never happen for me tho. :-( Every bike I ever let out of my hands is crashed and totaled within 6 months (usually significantly less) and not by the person I sold it to. I figured my girls love me so much they cant being sold...
I wonder where my SV is at, I kinda would like to get it back and make it naked. Someone on here saw it at Southern Powersports not long after I sold it, said it was rashed up on one side. I wonder if it is still out there....

I got my first bike back after my dad passed away in 2008 (he rode it, a Buell Blast, after I moved up to a CBR600). It's in pieces right now - working on getting it cleaned up and running again.

If I had a bike with a story like that... especially an EX500... I think I'd keep it forever...

That's cool.
I'm working on getting my Dad' first bike back. It's a '69 CB350 that he brought home, in the crate, from Japan.
We think my uncle has it.

I've tried tracking down bikes I've sold, but never had any success. My Nighthawk 750 pops up on Craigslist about once a year or so. My particular luggage/windshield/mirror combo is always a dead giveaway that it's actually my old bike.
Found a clean, low-mileage example of my first street bike (but not my ZR7 in particular):

I'd be very tempted if the price was closer to $2000-2500. Good chance the seller will still have it this winter...
