It's pure awesome.

It is one for sure way to set aside the haters that HD can't keep up with tech. They do without violating the core. Granted their core won't touch this, but it is a great way to get in the trend setter types.

There's not much for negatives in my mind.

I like it. Nice styling better than a 500/750/883.

So far only four cities have been announced for their demo tour: http://project.harley-davidson.com/ (Click on the Experience Tour). If it comes to Denver, I'll request a ride.

Fuck yes! They're coming to Philly. Where do I sign up?

It will be my first ride on an electric, and it's a HD with decent riding position. I have to wonder how much efficiency they're wasting by going for a "unique" sound.

They really aren't keeping up with tech. Electric is by no means new or revolutionary now. They aren't setting trends, they are following them. Harley is going after hipsters.

Styling looks almost Buell-ish.
No brrraaaaappppp sound.
Interested to see what the range is and the time to recharge.

It will succeed because HD will throw tons of money at it to make it work.

I'll stick to internal combustion for now.
I don't ride to be "green", I ride for enjoyment.

No more revving at stops... what will they come up with next? Who wants to bet that HD will install a clutch AFTER the bevel gear just so clods can play "jet-fighter?"

I heard 130 miles and under an hour charge time.

Funny, I read on several sites 50 miles on demo economy settings and 30 miles on normal setting. Minimum 3 hour charge time. Not exactly compelling stats.

Harley is in by no means anywhere close to leading the edge on battery development. You would just have to be fooling yourself to even consider it. Hell they don't have anything to even do with it, that would be all contracted out to another company. Making batteries is a dirty dirty business.

That's closer to what I read.

How many of those do you think we'll see parked outside the local Four Bucks coffee once they come out...?
