Social media and Crash.net. That's about it.
Without a bike right now, this is the only forum I check (and that's sparingly ). I stopped hanging out on VFRWorld too.

RPG forum. Other bike forums. Lots of conversations about alternative media on Facepalm.
And actually making stuff.

Two hundred hits on my "Zombie Apocalypse Store" thread, since my last post, but no replies. People are looking. They just aren't posting.

Today is the first time I've signed in and looked at the forum in 5 years. Not much action going on around here these days...
Holy fuck, how have you been?

I'm still around. Haven't got a whole lot to post about between winter and training and a new location.
OH! I got my RC51 out of non-temp storage, so that's a thing. She'll be coming out of the garage when I get back to Italy.

That's good... I think many of us are about to get the bikes out again from winter...

Picked up a Sony hdr as20 in January. With the mild winter we've had in the North East, I never "put the bike away". Too busy trying to test out camera mount locations.

Did you ultimately work out where you wanted to mount it? The way that Sony displayed them at the national finals, last year, was truly stupid. They used a suction cup mount on the windscreen, which would have come loose on the first lap if tested. I mount my front ReplayXD on the right mirror stem and the rear is in a mount shoe on my top box.

I'm using gopro mounts connected to a Sony ADPBH1 (with a GoPro Mount Connection to 1/4 inch adapter).
Decided against mounting it on the bodywork. I feel like I'm inviting stress cracks if I do that. Already have a couple on the fairing as it is.
May consider a tank mount bracket like this if I can find one without a rep for vibrations.

Yeah, bodywork mounts are bad. Something solid like a frame or subframe is a better idea. The good thing about my Replay cameras is that they make billet mounts for them. The bad thing is they cost about 5X as much as they should. That's what I use to mount my front camera to the mirror stem.
I stay away from tank mounts. Having the screen in the way creates too much distortion and there are times that I would really not like having the camera pointed at my instrument cluster, for reasons of personal privacy ;)
I find that helmet mounted cameras result in video that gives people motion sickness, so I switched to mounts on the bike. One thing that I've learnt, over the years, is that you want to have the camera connected to something on the bike with a short lanyard. It doesn't do to have a few hundred bucks worth of video camera bouncing along the road behind you.

I bought the Sena Prism which comes with a ridiculous amount of mounts! I haven't used it yet as the Vmax is the only bike running right now and I want to mount it on the KLR for faster and more interesting rides through the mountains. Plus, the Vmax is for sale and I didn't feel like mounting it only to have to remove it again. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some good video this spring/summer!
If you can find the full Sena kit, it's well worth it! Crazy set of mounts for anything you can think of and the waterproof/underwater case and camera for $249! I'm considering getting a second one so I can have front and rear cameras.

Still around, sometimes. Work, travel, wife, cross-country move, new job, in-laws, etc. Need to find a group to ride and snowboard with around Seattle now. Wanting to do some moto-camping. Still have the 650R, but parking beside a Tiger and a Daytona 675 everyday is making me want a Speed Triple.
