I HATE Working Night Shifts

There are Three Shifts at my job...'First' Shift which is usually 5am to 2pm 'Second' Shift which is 2pm to 11pm and 'Third' Shift which is 11pm to 7am.

I got three seconds this week all in a row and I get all Fubar'd because I switch from Firsts to Seconds and when I get home at night I'm not tired because I sleep in till like 12 o clock since I dont have to wake up early.

I use to like it because none of the higher ups were there, they all worked days. But if I had an appointment during the day, it would suck balls. I'd rather waste work's time with my appointments.

Well I'm the Second in Command at my Job...So Basically I get to Tell people what to do and when to do it...But I also dont mind working with them and making sure the Store runs right...I get bored just sitting in the Office looking at Sales Reports and Making sure my Cashiers arent stealing from me.

It just Jacks my Sleep Schedule all up...Its 12 40am On the east coast and Ill seriously be up till like 3 or 4 in the morning.

i hear ya on the fucked up sleep schedule-i used to work 4am to 8am, then 4pm to 8pm. the dreaded split.

now with the new job, its 8am-5pm, but i still work the 1st shift at the other job, 4am to 715.

i get narcoleptic sometimes lol-should be sleep now, but im wide awake.:panic:

Man I have been on rotating 40/20, 21 day rotation for a few years now... and use to fill in as a relief guy doing it for YEARS. Check this...

12hr shifts

Tues-Mon -day shift
Tues-Thur afternoon -off
Thur evenin - next Thur am -night shift
Thur am - Tues am -off
REPEAT

Meaning only every 3rd w/e off and work a different shift week to week on every day of the week ending in "Y".

If it wasn't for the pay, the fact that I'm good at it and some of the other freedoms I would bail.
