Congrats... Have owned two Cherokees. Bulletproof things. The engine is a time tested workhorse that goes and goes.

Old neighbor had one with a 3" suspension and 2" body lift... 33's on cheapo black powdercoated steel wheels... Looked fucking sick as hell.

nice thing about the cherokees... is with a sawzall you can fit 33's stock... if you wanna go to 31's just do a suspension lift... no body... no need and body lifts suck IMO

Especially with unibody frames

I have an '01 Cherokee. 2" Rubicon lift (RE5150) with 31" tires. Still rides nice, better visability and the 31" tires didn't require changing the gear ratios in both rears :dthumb:

Search "Jeff in PA" on JeepForum.com and I have detailed instructions for doing the lift. Also, if it's a '99 or later, you have to do a transfer case drop to keep the driveline vibes away. I have a picture with dimensions showing how to make them using 1" x 2" tubing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/JRD77VET/Cherokee%20Sport/transfercasedropspacerwdims.jpg
