I have a lot of favorites... the tastiest goes to the Sriracha Hot Sauce. That stuff is awesome.

I was at Firehouse Subs the other day and tried the "100% Pain" hot sauce. It is very good as well, very spicy and very flavorful. It is primarily Habaneros, which aren't too bad.

The hottest I have ever tried is Dave's Insanity Sauce Private Reserve (750,000 scoville units). That stuff is hot. It is made with the Naga Jolokia and they are damn hot.

ill eat any hot sauce no matter how spicy, as long as it has a good taste.
Sriracha is more of a paste but its really good if you lather it on some shrimp and throw it on the bbq for a few. mmmmmm..i may have to have some for dinner.
How much of my fist in your face can you handle?
internet fist or real life fist?
either way they are both VERY scary....

Try mixing 1/2 cup of mayo with about 5-6 TBsp of Sriracha and some Thai Sweet and Hot sauce. Then dredge your shrimp in corn starch and fry them. Then toss in the mixture.
It's supa-good.

I like food spicy and flavorful, not necessarily hot. The green chile tabasco is a favorite of mine and there is a Cholula green sauce that works pretty good.
I have no use for gay ju jitsu or fisting fury:idk:
This is not very hot, but has excellent flavor.

That stuff is pretty good. They have a powder too that is good on steaks, burgers, etc.
as for basic hot sauce, Crystals or Louisiana hot sauce. tobasco is to vinegar-y. Tobasco Chipolte works good in chili though.

I hate habeneros.
As for hot sauces, I like Valentina. You can get it in the Mexican food section. Also the hot sauce at the local Chinese place has a good flavor. I have no idea the name.

louisiana is what I use when I need to use a basic hot sauce as well. I can find better ways to spice food than hot sauce though. I am sure you are capable of the same coming from the same great culinary state.

I don't really have a favorite, but I love all sorts of hot sauce and spicey food in general.
Since Firehouse was mentioned... I found they have a hot sauce there that they don't even keep out... at least the one by my work does (the only one I've ever been to)... Anyway, they rate the hotness from 1-10... this is the only one they have a 10 on... well, actually someone scratched out the 10 and put in an 11 (ala Spinal Tap I'd guess)... I forget what it's called, but it's rifuckingdiculously hot, but has EXCELLENT flavor.
Hot sauce is just an excuse to drink more.....skip the step and just drink up

I guess the folks in Knoxville are wimps.
Does yours have the Magnum 357 or watever?
I know it's not hot sauce but:
OTB's Authentic Mexico City Relish:
Before preparing this I highly recommend donning disposable gloves, as otherwise the oil from the peppers will penetrate the skin and remain active for hours......
10 fresh Red Savina Habanero Peppers
1 bunch green onions
sea salt
2 limes
Split the peppers and discard the seeds; slice the peppers thinly into a chiffonade (thin chiffon-like strips).
Remove the roots from the onion ends and finely slice crosswise. Mix the onions and peppers together in a bowl and grate in about 1 tsp of the sea salt. Squeeze the juice from the two limes over the top and toss. Refrigerate for about an hour and serve cold.
Great on omelettes, any mexican food, huevos rancheros....you get the idea. More flavor than most hot sauces and a good amount of heat.
The red savina's SHUs are about 850,000 units, if you want something a little milder, try regular Habeneros, or Scotch Bonnets....they are in the 350,000 SHU range.
Ps. If you don't use gloves and find yourself in pain, drop me a line and I'll tell you how to get relief, but don't say I didn't warn you........:panic:

sometimes i think its funny that these stupid plants devoloped their spicyness over millions of years in order to ward of wayward herbavoirs, and here we are harvesting them en mass for the single reason that they evolved to protect themselves.
