I've mentioned this several times, but the fuckers won't spend the money on it.

Exactly. And I am stuck in a cube. All day long. Tied to the desk. It sucks!!

If your just walking I dont think it would be a Big Deal...We walk all over the place in a lifetime...Plus it helps people stay in somewhat of a shape instead nof sitting there all day wasting away.

I think its a great idea!:rockwoot::rockwoot::rockwoot::rockwoot:

Eh, I use to walk ALL the time for my previous job. This one sucks ass cause I'm sitting all day long. It's making me lazy. Besides, I could always shut off the treadmill and just stand there if I got tired of walking. Or just buy rollerblades and stand there with the treadmill running. Nah, I have no problem walking a very slow pace while typing and talking to people.

I just go outside to walk... But I know what you mean about sitting tied to a computer :td: And now the uppity highs want to take away my afternoon break. Which is all of ten minutes- barely enough to get out and grab a lungful of fresh air. Not technically supposed to have it- but fuck 'em. I can't sit still hours on end.

I like the concept this has. at the VERY least it could potentially help keep desk bound employees from going downhill and gaining huge amounts of weight from lack of activity. I would love to see these in place everywhere to encourage employees to be healthy.

“If you can’t walk and chew gum at the same time, this may not be the workstation for you,”

that made me

I'm glad I don't work in an office.

Correction, here's my office:

I do a few laps around the building every day. It's nice to get outside and breathe fresh air.

That would be cooler if they went green and made them power the lights by riding a bike like on Giligan's Island.

Kinda gives off the Hampster on a wheel vibe to me.

I just pay to go to the gym like normal people... :idk:

I understand the gym statement, but when you work a 12 hour day, sitting at a desk nearly the entire time, you wish you could get up and walk. I get a couple 15 minute breaks where I go outside and walk around the building (if I got enough sleep the night before and don't go out to the car and take a powernap  ). But I get so tired of sitting in the fucking chair tied to the desk by a headset.

I'm with you man. I need a job where I can move around more. Desk jobs suck.

Ya, I'm right there with ya. Thats why I post on several sites all day while talking on the phone and e-mailing customers. Desk job sucks and most days lunch is spent right here. I don't even get out to go get it. It's delivered.

But we all have to do something and as much as I would like to get outside during the work day I'm not looking to do grunt work in the 100% humidity and 98 degree TN weather.

That shit is for the youngsters.

I'm fucked in that area, as well. All forums are blocked at work. Also, all phone calls are recorded and screens are captured. I can't be on any website not related to the discussion while on a phone call to a client. And I'm on the phone most of the damn day.

Damm son, They have you guys on lock down!

I can come and go at anytime pretty much but choose to work thru it.

I enjoy what I do (playing with money all day) and its kinda high paced at times but its feast or famen. Busy or bored.

In that cubicle infested office I'd hope for a Russian Roulette booth. With the added bonus of putting bullets in all the chambers, so that way everybody wins!

Neat idea though. Probably cuts back on the company's health insurance costs(Which I guess they cover themselves).

When I worked on pool tables I installed tables for autotrader.com. They had 5 nice buildings with tables in all of them. Plus a massuse (Not the fun one though) who would massage people at work. Plus no one did jack shit there at all. They'd spend an hour or more watching us and never had anyone miss them. I can't disappear for more than 5seconds before hearing "Smitty I need some help".
