I saw one yesterday cruising down the road. This is the first time I have actually heard one running. HOLY SHIT. What a sound coming from that thing. It had Termi pipes. Except at the stop light...that engine is noisy sitting still.

Fuck. Sounded so good.

The noise at idle is that dry clutch... they fixed that on the 848..

Ok, now imagine hearing the intake suction, the rattle of the clutch plates in the basket, and the beastly twin cylinder spooling up as you roll into the throttle on corner exit. See why I love mine so much?

They didn't fix anything. It wasn't broken. It has become a Superbike trademark, just like the underseat exhaust, trellis frame, and (aside from the 749/999) the single sided swing arm. The 848 is more "economical" than previous middle weights...

I know I was just being sarcastic.

If I had a Duc I'm damn sure want it to have a dry clutch. I will own a Hypermotord someday.

The 1098 indeed has an incredible exhaust note. And if any encouragement for the Hyper, the aircooled 2V powerplant in its chassis delivers an even more intoxicating "basso profundo".

You do not want a Ducati, They are noisy look funny and they embarrass other twin sport bike riders. If everyone will boycott them I can afford another one so stay away

I saw a Tricolor the other day, and about ran off the road while staring at it.

If I get another Duc it WILL have a dry clutch. Mine feels like its missing something.
