:idk:I renamed it...Coulda been the Down-Jones Industrial or the Wow - Jones Industrial. How far does it go from here? Will this be a "Great Depression" a national "Dustbowl"? Will we be reusing toilet paper and growing our own food?
I am thinking of putting all my extra cash into a stockpile of booze and guns...That way no matter the outcome i will be entertained and somewhat solvent...

Some folks get by with gorillas, others with pink elephants, some even have evil penquins...Whatever works for ya! Really now is a great time for me as far as economic crashes go...I am to poor to tell! I measure my net worth with my fuel gauge and even then I have to look at it as if "is the tank is half empty or is it half full?" Depends on your mood and whats on the radio!:zowned:

Yeah, today was so much fun for me. I watched it all day long on one screen, with accounts up on the other screen as the calls kept rolling in. Personally, I was pretty sure it would rally near the end of the day, and I was right. I thought it would close above 10k, which it just barely failed to do. I wouldn't be surprised if the bottom is near 8800 or maybe even as low as 8300. I certainly don't want it to get that low, but looking at a monthly chart of the dow, it's not exactly unreasonable for that to happen.
The Dow climbed at a reasonable pace for many years, then suddenly started climbing much faster in 95. It dropped down in 2001 and 02, then picked up again in 03 at a fast pace. It appears to be coming back down to the trendline that actually started back in 90 and went through 95. Personally, I know the market goes in cycles. I'm not worried. I just keep on keepin on.

To bad they will stop production increasing the demand to keep the prices up.

yeah but the gas prices are way down to what? 3.50? fuck that... I will not be happy until they're under $2... no it will probably never happen again... but it's because they just keep raising the prices... then "drasticly reduce them" to $.50 more than they were before the rise... but america has the short term memory of a 3 month old... soon we'll be happy to see $7 a gallon a nice break from the $8.45 we were spending before....

I don't know if this is true but it seems that whenever the market goes down, gas prices go down. Hey Capitain,is this true?
