As some of you from NC and TN know June 17, 2008 state trooper Shawn Blanton was shot and killed on I-40. He was only 24 and left behind a wife Michaela and premature son Tye. This morning four month old Tye passed away after having heart surgery. I am posting this to ask for your prayers for Michaela as she struggles through this very hard time in her life.

Oh Gosh... wow.... a friend of mine up in Waynesville knew them, and has kept me updated on everything going on with this, but this is just heartbreaking.

Prayers to Michaela. May little Tye RIP. :(

Wow. That's just horrible. Any kind of donation stuff we can do? Maybe even a charity ride (For the more local people).

There have been many fundraisers and I'm sure there will be many more. I'll post info if you all want it.

Just as a side note NC finaly said that the shooter can be given the death penality "IF" he's convicted. BASTARD!

She does! The people here are the best in the world!! It's a small community where everybody knows everybody and is considered family. Everyone is committed to doing whatever it takes to get her through this. I work with Shawn's ltl bro and he came in for a few this morning, said she's doing as well as can be expected.
