Who is planning one?

What do you have planned? Mods to your favorite ride? Building a track bike? What do you all have going on this winter for bike projects?

My bike is finally exactly how I want it! I am not touching a thing! :dthumb:

Plus...we don't have room for any more bikes (or cars for that matter!) If we did I would be scared to see how many bikes we would have hanging around! :panic:

m yplan is to finish the TL project I started 2 years ago then ran ou tof money.

I took the bike completley apart and will powdercoat the frame, subframe, swingarm and rims. Have the bodywork painted, replace the clutch and a few seals that didnt want to work anymore, then install a clear clutch cover and a new pressure plate. Then maybe add a CF exhaust.

I am picking up a ton of shifts at my side job so this month I can swing the cash to do the powdercoating and then I can start reassemble while I save up for paint and other goodies:dthumb:

What is winter???

Leon has a streetfighter F2 frankenbike he is working on, with an F4i swingarm, gsxr 1k forks, etc. Its going to be so sick when he is done;

Hey Tommy, if you need any advice about the TL, ask Leon or Gix. Leon pretty much totally rebuilt his old TLR, and Gix is, well Gix :)

Well after last winters Phoenix project I don't want to do any bike projects. Unless it involves somebody else's bike. Otherwise, for me its all house projects.

Maybe some clutch work to make the lever pull a bit easier...but most likely nothing.

The duc is getting a new tail and a valve adjustment.

Making a new bash plate for the KTM, since the old one got, well, bashed. Also some new GPS/Rollchart mounts and a luggage rack for next years TAT attempt.

The Triumph is coming out of boxes finally. Still haven't decided if I want to totally bastardize it and put the 916 swingarm on it, or restore it to original (it's a '69).

It's going to be a long winter.

I just dropped my bike off at my folks for the winter :(

If my dad is up for it we might try and find a new tail for it....we are attempting to makeit a streetfighter. My hopes is that someone makes, or can make for me an LED Batman taillight for it :rockout:

I might sand the whole thing down and paint it a flat color....not sure what though.

So much planned and want to do... the question is how much of it can I afford?

edit: i am planning to make a final post in my blog about winter plans before the racing season starts in april. It will include absolute must-dos, want-to-dos that have a good chance of happening moneywise, and slightly more lofty goals that don't have quite as good a chance of happening.

I'm going to try to finish up my F2. So far it's got a F4I swingarm and rear wheel. A 600rr tail section and seats. All the wires are tucked inside the frame. It's got renthal bars. Next thing planned is a front end from an '02 GSXR 1k. I just need to source a front wheel. Then some paint and exhaust and it's good to go.

Anyone else find it odd that Udman and his four year old, wear the same size underwear?

Rebuilding my bike. Putting all OEM parts back on with the exception of a full exhaust/PCIII/BMC air filter and possibly rear sets. I might go OEM with the rear sets, it just depends on what OEM costs. Pazzo levers and Puig windscreen are staying on the bike.

Yeah... mods to my bike are a little pricey. I *really* want Termis for mine, but if I'm gonna do it, I want to do it right.. not just the slip ons, the FULL system. :D

First things first... need to get an open cover and new pressure plate for my noisy-ass clutch. :rockout:
