naw... I'm good... lifting isn't really my thing... I lifted in HS and never got any bigger... just got cut. but that was for sports... now I have no reason to lift now...

I run... I still weigh the same as I did 12 years ago my junior year in HS.

as for an eating plan... you insane?! all the good for you food tastes like shit!

For another month....

I've gotta have my wrist reconstructed December 15th....6 weeks of elbow/wrist immobiliation...probably another 6 weeks of rehab...then it's back to the gym.

I'll try to continue as best I can with cardio while I recover....but...no weights this winter. :idk:

I used to work out and weight train a few years back. I was actually a trainer at Golds Gym many years back. One of these days I want to start back at the gym just to get healthy. Sigh.

I do weight training, not for body building, but to stay fit at 38 you can't just sit there and play with the remote. I started out trying to build and then realized I could not eat at the rate and schedule it required without feeling like complete shit...Who wants to look huge but feel bad?

So I just adjusted to a healthier hi protein diet and have been playing with different weight routines. I really think I am stronger and healthier now as before it was all cardio and hi metabolism.:idk:

Used to do some weights and alot of cardio but stopped about 6 months ago for certain reasons. BMI was around 23 and body fat was 13%. Not bad considering I drink more beer than almost anyone I know as quite a few on here can atest to.

Old school Olympic lifts. My workout partner is 80, and has set several lifting records and has won numerous competitions over the years. A knowledgeable coach is invaluable when lifting heavy weights.

1990 CBR1000F. Honda got rid of the "Hurricane" name before 1990. Terrific bike except the CCT just upchucked and I burnt all my exhaust valves. I got the head off and am almost finished freshening up the top end. In the mean time, I've been riding my 1979 GS1000E.

I lift bags.
The average checked piece of luggage is 50 pounds. 40 bags taken off every plane then at least 40 new bags stacked back on X around 20 planes a shift I'll actually deal with = big shoulders.
Not to mention the carts full of bags we get to push around, lifting disabled people, people too fat to get in their own seats and their goddamned rascal scooters that weigh 200 pounds.
No idea how much I bench, my bodyfat is ∞%.

I lifted earlier in the year as part of a P90X program. Right now I am at 165-175 pounds at 5'10". Do more pull-ups and push-ups than real lifting right now.

It worked really well. It is a killer program though and not for the faint of heart. It peels away the body fat like nothing else I have seen and puts on a surprising amount of muscle for being very high rep. I will probably do another round of it after the Holidays.

How long have you been lifting? And what is your high rep ranges? Over 20?

I have been lifting off and on since football in high school and Sul Ross State. I managed to get up to 190 with less than 10% bodyfat in college.

The high rep ranges in the P90X program are max reps for a minute so they get pretty high.

I have not done a serious dedicated lifting routine in almost 8 years. I do not believe in the bodypart per day system anyway. I do a MWF full body routine with core movements and no more than 3 sets of 8 reps when I do lift regularly. That was what my strength coach in college preached and it worked for me. I have tried various split routines and none of them work as well for my own body.
