Nice
we've got a couple others who rebuild old bikes... :welcome:
and no cycle poseur would be complete without a chopper.

69 Amen Savior framed 650 with a springer front end (sultan shoe)
The paint was redone exactly as it was painted in the 1970s. It's fun to ride if you don't have further than 15 miles to go, require going over 60mph, and don't have to turn or stop. ;)
I also turned an RD400 into a cafe racer.

once i got everything done the way I wanted it, I seized the motor doing plug chops. It was pushed to the back of my garage and I later sold it. Don't worry, I lost my ass on it.

I got the superduke for an afternoon. I think it's overblown by motorcycle magazines. It's a neat bike. However, it's a neat $9000 bike. Top end suspension and braking components and dodgy injection with a rather uninspiring motor. I've heard people say they are a different beast uncorked. I hope they are right.
that's it for me. I just ride now when I have the time and wrench when I can't sleep.

Welcome!
I dunno, I can see the R6 getting you tickets just as easily... :)
yes and no. The R6 doesn't cruise @ 90mph just like it does @ 60mph. The tickets I got on the Hayabusa were because I didn't actually realize I was going 20 over. The R6 goes 90 very easily but since it's smaller in displacement, the RPM difference is more noticeable. It was like 400rpms on the bus. heh

I have an R1 and have the exact same problem. It just doesn't feel that fast.
I had a choice on an R1 and the R6. I picked the R6 for that reason. Funny thing is, I bought the R6 so I could actually use some of the gears vs. 1 on the R1. I was shocked to find out the R6 does 74mph in first. Not quite the 101 of the R1, but still an RCH from reckless here.
Sup Scot?!
yo. I still have those HD brochures and my FIL still wears that Tshirt from Arabia-land you got me. Thanks dude.
