I wish Particle Man would come along and point me to the Quantum of Solace thread.

It was a pretty good movie, but where the hell were the Bond gadgets? There were no laser beams, no machine guns hidden in a toaster.. NOTHING! WTF!?!

ahem... redflip (http://www.twowheelfix.com/showthread.php?t=3522)

I was happy with it. its nice to see a bond movie thats not all quippy double entendres (sp) and stupid gadgets that always simply happen to be the perfect fix for a sticky situation. (what a coincidence). Some classic bond villanry (what with the english red haired chick gettin the X, and the amazing action sequences) coupled with a more realistic view of the movie (ie everything did not explode on contact. cars actually just crashed without a fireball, yet were still spectacular scenes).

Only suggestion, watch casino royal first to stay in the loop.

I want to see this pretty bad. Ended up watching Die Another Day on TV last night. That one was done pretty well I thought.

I'm gonna say it.

Sean Conery > Roger Moore = Daniel craig > Tim Dolton > Pierce Brosnan.

and who was the ass hat that only made the cut for a single bond flick?

On Her Majestys Secret Service

Worst actor to play Bond in surprisingly one of the best Bond movies.

I like Craig as Bond. 007 is first and foremost an assassin and Craig has the unrepentant, yet charismatic killer part down. Dalton had the assassin part down also but lacked the charisma to truly pull it off as James Bond.

conery just trumps them all with his smartassness though. dont forget about the traditional bond smartassness.
