If you're going to the rally you may want the tail bag as well. I'm about to leave on a weekend hunting trip. I'll be back Tuesday. Send me a PM and we'll talk more.

Ebbs, you consistently rock with your timely photos and advice.

How did you guys like them?

I haven't really looked into luggage yet, but I know I want a set for my longer rides. I am the sort that like huge bags though. Hmmm

the nice thing about these is you can expand them... they had WAY more than enough room... in the photo with my bike I've got a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad and rain gear... strapped to the top of the bags... if your not camping you can rid all of that. also I had TONS of clothes... way more than I'd need on any other trip... I have 4 shirts away... had more than enough for any motorcycle trip... I packed like it was a vacation and not a motorcycle trip.

you shouldn't need any larger bags unless your going for 2 or 3 weeks camping and bring'n your own food... then... buy a diffrent bike

I loved the bags... the rain covers were the only issue... but never had wet gear when using them... when USING them... it rained one morning so hard it soaked everything in the 30 mins it took for me to tear down and pack everything up and cover my bags... lucky the next day was at Rae's and I could air dry everything in the FL heat

Hey Quick, you interested in a big square tailbag? I have one that fits my large RF-1000, then expands upward another 2-3" with a zipper. Mesh pocket inside the lid, one small pocket inside on each side, and an outer pocket that zips shut. Got a couple big web straps around the entire bag with quick release connections, and a carry handle. It mounts using quick release connectors on straps with loop ends.

Not to highjack the thread but I am definitely interested in luggage carrying capability on my sports bike. I am thinking about riding around next summer and visiting family. Maybe 3 or 4 week long trip, maybe longer?

I haven't look into the subject so I don't know whats available and what my options are. Feel free to PM me anything for sale. I don't want to keep hoggin up his thread. :)

If these aren't sold in a bit I may take em from ya. :)

Ebbs, you think my highmount exhaust would pose a problem with those?

these would be perfect for what your planning... the nice thing is anything shorter you can either run just the saddle bags or just the tail bags... to what ever you need.

I think they'll be fine... if they don't work... talk to Quick... he sounds like he'd buy them from ya.

I stand behind it... I'm 28 6'3 180 with 11% body fat... up until my mid tour accident I ran 5-10 miles a week... usually 2-4 at a time... I've done 3 Triathlons and 1 marathon in the last 5 years... ( supposed to do one of each here in Korea after my mid tour but ankle kept me from those)

not talk'n shit about anyone else... just never understood the whole big= in shape small=weak.

No. Drewpy and I have the same bags... his rode squarely on top of his exhaust throughout our entire cross country voyage... His underwears were always warm, but nothing burned.

You know... that didn't sound right... I meant when Drewpy and I are together our underwear is always HOT. Wait...

My bad. Thought you had the undertail duals, not the high mount.
