Do you have a lot to buy this year?

I don't really have a lot of people to buy for but this year I'm doing something different. Everyone I have to buy for is getting something small.

Then, there's a local store that has a tree with senior citizen's names on it. You pick a name and buy them some things they need. I just figured this would be a better use of money than giving people who already have all they need....more things. :idk:

I'm only buying for my children and they get a choice, a couple of little things or one big thing each. They have just about every gaming system between their dad's house and mine, they have bikes and ripsticks and all of that and I just got them a new computer a few months ago and their dad is getting my older one a laptop for Christmas so I'm not sure yet what they want. I'm actually thinking about just taking them on a trip or something. Still don't know.

:( That sucks, Kel.

I'm barely able to get my kids a couple of things. If the bitch from the place I just moved from would give me my damn deposit back soon, I'd have a little something to get the kids some Christmas with.

I'm making every present this year. Luckily though I don't have any kids to buy for.

Just spent my entire paycheck PLUS to send the kids to their sperm-donor's house for Christmas...not that he paid his child support current, but SOMEONE has to be the better person...he's WAY behind on payments...I could buy them a LOT with what he owes, including the plane tickets.

While they're gone, I'm hitting the after-Christmas sales and maybe shopping online for their gifts...the ONLY bonus of them being out of town that week. I don't get my first full paycheck until the 26th of December from the new job, and I have to catch up from these flights on the partial one I get two weeks before. My oldest needs a new MP3 player, and WOOT has had them dirt cheap lately. I'm not really sure what to get my youngest, I'll probably get him one too and put cartoons on it or something. They both always get multiple gifts, one big and the rest smaller. No point in planning till after I get some moolah...

My list is short and sweet, just like every year. Mom and Dad get gifts. Everyone else is a pass. It's a mutal agreement between my friends and I that none of us shop for any other unless there's some small shit thing that is deemed a must buy, like a goofy ass tshirt or some $10 trinket. Otherwise, easy peasey.

I'm getting everyone the same thing I get them every year... The joy of my presence.

I'm trying to keep it easy this year too. Luckily there's no kids with long lists of everything they want. But my parents pay my tuition so they deserve something and I'm pretty close with my siblings.

But I'm making mostly everything. It's a tradition to give ornaments in our family. Usually it's from my parents to each of us kids. Our tree is decorated in ornaments we've gifted each other. So i went to Michael's and will be making ornaments to give to everyone else.

I'm also giving jars of sand from FL since the boy and I will be leaving to move back home, so ppl can have a peice of wher we lived for 4 years.

A photo albums for my parents.

And a series of 3 paintings for my sister and her fiancee with chinese symbols for what I wish for them in their marraige.

I'm doing pretty good so far but an ornament and some sand aren't enough for my brothers so I have to figure something else out for them that's cool and cheap lol.

But so far the bill for x-mas for 7 people is $80. Pretty damn good i think.

You can get those clear glass ornaments and fill them with sand and some shells or something from the beach. Just a thought.

That is a good idea btu I've already bought the supplies. I got wood ornaments that I'll be painting. And I got glass jars that are in all different shapes to paint and put sand in. I like the idea of combining the two though! Dammit! Where were you last month when I bought all this stuff! lol

I've got all the ceramic paints and brushes and all of that stuff that would work on wood as well, you could use them if you'd like.

nope... well not for xmas... I'll be taking all the gifts back with me and giving to them in person. I'm have'n a couple blankets made, a couple foot ball jersy's... and frame'n a couple photos I took.

but there's no way they'd recieve them by xmas now... and shipping is crazy expensive here now. so I'll just throw them in my checked bags.

just buy'n for my family 6 of them so that's enough  well maybe a couple friends...

only gotta buy my mom something, and I already know just what to get her because I'm tired of tripping over the cat 5 wire from the router to her computer. aside from that, I'm really not spending any money on anyone.

I already found my 9 year old cousin a bike she wanted, put some cool purple grips on it, and am now just chillin with a pink bike in my room until christmas when I'm takin it to her.

BTW, what the fuck do you buy a gf who wont tell you what she wants? And why do women expect us to fucking know what they want? As if I have any clue what an 18 year old girl wants, im a dirty old 27 year old man.

OK, so I'm way glad that I already had most of my shopping done prior to today, because i definatly got alot poor(er). I mean I only have to buy 3 gifts total a year, and only 1 left to do now..... but when I had to spend $450 dollars today on new tires and an allignment for my cage, that doesnt leave alot of christmas giving joy left....

It feels so good being able to be confident in my tires for once, (the old ones were down to the cords/very little tread), but i feel disheartened when I look at my poor college student's bank account!!! Its a love/hate feeling...:idk:

But mom's gift should be cheap compared to my brothers....

Get her some anal beads, hardcore midget porn, and tell her you have to have a threesome with her and her hottest friends... Then tell her that's what adults do for Christmas.

I only need a little thing for my hubby; since my fam is in Germany and we haven't done gifts in years.

Our x-mas will be some rental bikes while we are in Germany coming March/April. Hopefully we'll some passes in the Alps that are not snowed in anymore...

I am buying for the kids this year. I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews to get for. 1 niece is taken care of. I usually buy everyone but I am saving as much as I can so I can buy a house. The adults will get home made cookies from me.
