Finally got those non-matching-the-wheels gold forks off and the bike's look is now complete! The pics are a bit dark, I'll get new ones up tomorrow.

looks good bro... I'm with Tigger... rattle can your exhaust black... shit would look sick as fuck.
I'm not even gonna waste my time with the stock exhaust. It'll be gone soon enough.

Powdercoat those pegs after you get that exhaust changed out, too.
I'm not powder coating something that will eventually be off the bike.

Looks way better.
Rearsets and exhaust and be done.

yeah leave them if your gonna just get rear sets... probably get a decent amount on Egay for them.

I liked the gold better. The whole black out thing has been beat to death. A little accent sets the bike off IMO.

Accents are great when they all match and are done right, but when your accent pieces don't match, the whole thing looks like crap.

I'm glad you kept the wheels though, I think they look good on the black bike! I can take or leave the gold forks, looks good with the black too and since that's what you like then it's a good swap!!

Now that the forks match the paint, rather than mismatched gold shades, it looks 100% better. I'd rock it.

Blow me! It's almost impossible to find gold pieces that match perfectly...you can think my bike looks like "crap" if you want but I really wanted to follow a theme at the time...Nyahh nyahh nyahh!

Aw thanks,Ebbs. Yea I have black rearsets already but buying the chain adjusters,chain,tri-metal sprocket, levers, forks, etc just to please you bastards doesn't really appeal to me for some reason....

that bike would look even sicker IMO if you had the wheels powdercoated the same blue as the rest of the theme. WHite wheels look good too, but that blue would look sweet.

You really think so? Hmmm...I'd probably go paint instead of powdercoat talk about color matching problems.... How about doing the spoke area in blue and the rim in white?

Any combo of the blue and white down there would look pretty sweet. Would totally bring out the NC scheme too.

It helps that I have been a hockey fan first and foremost my whole life!
The only good times with the Lions in my lifetime were the days of Barry.

Actually, the tires were new when I took that pic AND I get off the bike enough so that I don't have to scrape the pegs to get around a corner! Of course, you're right at my age and considering the amount of damage I'm carrying,I don't chase the limits of grip like I used to. I'm happy with double posted limit these days... Besides,"Sonny" come see me when you can ride your bike down the street WITHOUT hitting parked cars!:dthumb:

Believe me man, I'm not hating, your bike is gorgeous. If you saw mine right now (or any pics that were taken in the last 6 months) I'm sure you wouldn't think too highly of it. She's a rideable work in progress. But like fine wine, all good things come in time.
And as far as accents go, if your bike is one color and one color only, then accents that don't match just look cheesy and thrown together.

Nice.........I felt the same way about the gold forks on the 03-04 636, they looked like crap against the silver frame. Silver and gold just don't go together IMO.

But you should see if your buddy will swap cailpers with you. The gold pots in yours are ugly and that gold doesn't match the wheels, either. My bike and your buddys bike have silver pots in the calipers. Go for those and your shit will be tits.

Also why is there so much fork sticking out of your triples? Mine are flush with the triple... the R6 is twitchy enough as it is, I wouldn't drop it... if anything I might raise my triple about 5mm, one racer told me he did that and it helped...
Maybe yours is a bit different though? :idk:

The fork tubes are longer on the '09s, that's why they're sticking through. They all come like that from the factory. The handling on the '09s is better than '06.
