Our first Christmas together, Chris got me "Proficient Motorcycling," a pair of riding gloves, and a G.C. to take my MSF class. :rockout:

(I'd say he did rather well in those selections... ;) )

You've never had a Christmas present? Ever? There is not a single thing you have ever gotten that you liked?

Wow...

My Mom surprised me in 2002 with a week long trip in New York, just her and I. She flew in from Spokane and I flew in from Miami. We did everything tourists are supposed to do, even though she'd been there a million times.

We took in a few Broadway shows, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Ground Zero and a million other things. My only request for the trip was to see snow....... and boy did we see it. 3'+ worth that had fallen in one night. Manhattan was shut down. No one came in and no one went out, the bridges were closed and the streets were deserted, it was the worse storm Manhattan had seen in years, not a single car was on the road. I stood out in the middle of the street on Park Avenue and fell backwards and made a snow angel where cars would usually be gridlocked.

Since my mom lived on the other side of the country, I didn't get to see her often at all and when she passed last November and I flew out to Oregon to help with arrangements, there was snow on the ground. It was only a few days after Thanksgiving but I knew it was an early Christmas present from her.

Last night I was walking through the mall and I found a silver snowflake charm on a chain at JC Penny and knew I had to buy it........ just for Mom because I knew she would have bought it for me if she was still here. She's still giving me little gifts even though I bought it.

About 3 Christmas' ago, my aunt passed down her really expensive pearl necklace. The fact that she had passed it down to me to pass on meant so much.

Last year my father surprised me with a flight home.

I wasn't coming home from England for the holidays. My father called on the 21st and said that family should be together at christmas and booked me a flight. Best gift EVER!

I got a blow job under the tree while the lights were on that fast blink setting...Kinda like being at a holiday rave. It was cool. Of course Santa's beard tickled a bit...

I bought myself a bike last year. That doesn't really count. I'd say the complete set of Calvin and Hobbes I got a few years back. It was the most thoughtful gift I've ever received.

As a kid, the Milenium Falcon.
I must have opened that thing 20 times dreaming of the day I finally go to open it. and play with it. My parents had to know now that I look back on it. Wrapping paper wrinkles so bad, but I had to keep looking at it.

As an adult.. My Umbrella Cockatoo that I had to return because I ended up with overseas orders again right after the Holidays:rant:

One day ill have another!

My cousin sent me his Gibson guitar....

He was a guitar prodigy... and then he lost his middle finger on his playing hand in a landscaping accident. Boulder rolled right over and severed it. He could have probably worked around his lack of finger to play casually, but he would have never been anywhere as good. I think it hurt him so much that he just stopped playing altogether.... It makes me sad everytime I think about it, because I will never be a fraction of a what he was...

last year my gf got me a hardcover copy of my favorite childhood book (it's out of print so she had to have ebay'd it). That was one of the sweetest, most thoughtful gifts I've ever gotten. :)

It comes in a three book hard cover set. Weighs about 30-40lbs. She could barely lift it when she bought it.

When I was 10 my dad was stationed in Greenland and was told he would not get leave for Christmas holiday. I was heartbroken. Make a long story short. Christmas morning headed to the living room to wait for his call. Morning wears on no call I'm getting really upset. The doorbell rings mom answers the door and screams. Well of course my brothers and I run to see what's wrong. It's my dad with the biggest grin I've ever seen. He had to leave the next morning but that was by far the best gift Christmas or other wise I have ever recieved.
