Its that time of year, and we have about a month left (unless you file for an extension) to have your income tax filed. Who does your taxes, and if you dont mind how much do you pay to have them done?

www.taxact.com. 20 bucks gets you a pretty darn indepth tax helper. There's tons of details that it goes into that I don't even know about! For a basic tax e-file, taxact is free.

I did HR Block once and after they charged me 200 something bucks, I learned how they do it and now I just do it myself and save 180 dollars.

I do them myself. I can't see paying someone else to do something that's so simple. The past 2 years I have used turbo tax though. Turbo tax comes up to the same numbers I do (I checked both years), so I trust it now.

nice, i work for taxresources, we do reviews of tax returns from turbotax. everything is xxxx out so all we see are the numbers and answer any questions you have.

my buddy spent 250 at hr block yesterday and i got mad at him for doing that. told him not to do it. I used to work for hr block and was very distubed at the prices they charge. i've used taxact as well, very simple and easy to use.

I go to the guy who does my moms, he charges her like $200, but any family member after that is $35, which she paid for.

I used to telefile, but then I found out I was missing out on shit, so I went to HR Block... It was always like $125... Then I found out about Turbotax... $15 for federal, $15 for state... and I got more deductions than HR Block had me down for... Turbotax FTW!

Reminder, the stimulus package is just an advance on next years refund. its going to be counted as income when you file for 2008.
