Not sure how she keeps getting all these vehicles. We just picked up a 2009 GTI 4-dr in gray with the DSG tiptronic tranny today for her. I have to take it back in to the dealer on Monday to get the 18" Hufeisen wheels put on that were part of the deal. I'll get some better pics up after those get put on. Overall, I'm initially impressed by this hatchback. Fun to drive with a nice solid feel to the construction and interior. The car is laden with neat little features that I have trouble believing could come on a hatch at this price point.

Here are some crappy driveway at night photos for now.

She still hasn't gotten rid of the Avalanche....I'm just supposed to drive it now.:D This is the only car we've purchased since she made that statement.....although we've done a ton of looking and testing. The S-10 is up for grabs now though if somebody wants cheap reliable transportation.

Nice......I thought the 09 was the new body style though, that one looks the same as the 08.

New body style is supposed to hit in 2010. From the pictures I've seen, I'm glad we didn't wait for that one as I think this generation looks better. Some of the interior switch gear was changed up on the 09 from the 08 and a few of the 08s optional items like heated seats, mirrors, and washer nozzles are now standard equipment on the 09s.

Nice..... my very first car was a 95 VW Golf Celebration Edition. I LOVED THAT THING!

I bought it with 6 miles on it and had to have a friend drive it home because I didn't even have a license yet AND didn't know how to drive a stick. 5 days later I was at the DMV taking the test in that car and driving home!

Fun car to learn in and own!

You mean good experience with the VW dealer. :zowned:

How much did you pay for it?

The GTI chassis is awesome and the DSG VW/Audi uses shifts great too. Drove an A3 (basically same thing as the GTI) and that car rocks.

27 out the door with everything. Price went up almost 2k over the 08 models we priced in the beginning of the year but more stuff is standard now.
