3. Do 2 track days

4. Get a knee down

5. Hit up the Indy MotoGP again

Ride more often.
I rode quite a bit the first year I had the bike and very little this past year.
It's way too nice to sit in the garage so much.

I have a few bik trips planned. 2 short trips & 1 long trip that I'll be taking by myself, which includes riding the Gap! :rockwoot:

Other than that, riding more, honing my riding skills, pushing myself a little more. Maybe by 2010 I'll have the funds & the confidence (in myself) to start doing track days. :D

and hanging off is proper. Don't endanger yourself with shitty riding position just to try to lean farther.

Maybe you should try to make plans that aren't so crazy.... I mean, we know what happened last time... and it was all down to trying to do waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaay too much at once!

it was more trying to do too much with to tight a schedule... but yeah... I had several 600-800 mile days on that trip.... after not riding for a year it was too much... took it's toll.. but above that... I felt like I couldn't enjoy the area's I was riding!... so my trips now rarely have a 550 mile day... 7-9hrs of riding...

and yes... i have SEVERAL trips planned... to Newfoundland, to Vancouver Island, to San Diego are a couple...

pickle.of.doom
12-27-2008, 10:30 PM
Yeah, thats the problem with the super tours, you bust your ass to put in mega miles, but at the end of the road you realise how much you missed. Thats how I felt after the last day of one of our big trips last year, when we busted right aroun 550 home. I felt like the 250-400 mile days were so much more of an experience, just because you got to take it all in a lot better.

yeah I'm not so concerned about racking up miles on the trip as seeing different things via two wheels... stay off interstates as much as possible... and really see America. I'm hope'n I can get approved for 20 days off this comming year or next... to hit up Newfoundland... just take my time... meet a couple of you fuckers along the way

class for what?

and hanging off is proper. Don't endanger yourself with shitty riding position just to try to lean farther.

drag racing, not road racing. my three choices are basically a 9.50 index, 9.90 index or 10.70. i dont want to run brackets anymore. i could launch it real easy, short shift 1-2-3 and run 10.7's all day, or live just alil past the limit of the bikes potential (as it sits now) tryn to run 9.5's. id just pick whichever class has the most ppl in it at the first race and stick with that, but thatll probably be the 10.7 class and honestly that feels slow. so idk

and i didnt mean i didnt wana hang off, i just meant i didnt wana hang all the way off the seat just tryin to touch my knee to the ground. i wana do it the right-ish way, gd/decent(lets be honest, it wont be perfect lol) position, smooth, comfy, etc

:dthumb:

gotcha! :dthumb:

good luck with at the strip!

As far as hanging off, theres tons of different stules, just do what ever makes you feel the most comfortable.

2009 will be a limited racing season for me so my main focus will be to stay fresh and ready to hit it hard again in 2010.

Need to break two plateaus:

Sub 1:30's at Homestead.

Sub 1:20's at Jennings.

As a Control Rider:

Introduce at least 10 noobs to the world of track riding.

Help each student feel comfortable and proficient on track.

Help / inspire at least three "street riders" to become race licensed.

Where are you a control rider?

Depending on where you're control riding (and when Chris and I decide to get our asses to the track) you could check two off your 10 with us. :)
