I'd take a 999 over 1098, no question.

Bump.

This bike has been on and off the market for over a year now.

The decision has been made, it HAS TO GO!

Cheaper than a Buell. Far sexier.

NEW PRICE: $6500.00

Buy it this week and I can have it sent as far north as the FL/GA border free of charge.

Any other shipping is buyer's responsibility.

I wonder how many customers Ducati has lost with the incredible loss in resale value in the xx9 series. That bike is $15k+ invested and the owner can't give it away now.

Which is too bad because I actually like it better than the 1098. The front end of the 1098 looks too much like other bikes. Also you see 2-3 of them at every single bike night.

Agreed. My brother has an 05 999S that he paid $25k for and I've seen them for $8500 :bash:

Me too. The 999 is my all time favorite Duc.

Crap...my friend has been looking at bikes for a while now and finally pulled the trigger two weekends ago.

He bought an 05 Triumph Speed Triple in Scorched Yellow. It has several mods and looks awesome...for a Speed Triple.

8-9k miles for $5k...not a bad deal at all BUT I'm sure he would have been very interested in this Duc for the new price.

Oh well...somebody will be getting a nice bike for a good price.

Scorched Yellow is so nice on the Triumphs!

My first 675 was SY. Definitely not a color you see everyday.

No you don't see that color very often...it looked more golden when I actually saw it in person.

I wish I had a picture to post...it is the best looking Triple that I've seen...much better than stock.

I hope to ride my friend's this weekend. We're switching bikes to let the other one compare the the two exhaust systems.

My R1 has race baffles and the cats gutted. His Triple has Mivv exhaust.

Riding. Oh, how I wish I could do that. It is unbelievably cold in central PA today....super windy too. Salt all over the damn road. And more snow coming on New Years Day.

The Mivv on the 1050 is one of the sweetest combos you'll hear. :dthumb:

Beautiful bike, and a great price. The 999s have so much more character than the 1098s, and what is a Ducati with little or no character? Good luck.
