I have Alpinestars SMX 3's...I bought them from DLIT. Like them, but they could be a little better...but a good boot none the less. Might go with the SMX plus or Sidi Vertigo corsa next.

I have the AGV sport Sebring boots. I bought them from Marko. Great boot for the price. Mine are for sale if you want them. Size 45 (About a 11- 11.5 shoe)

Sidi.

I know some people that like their A*s but I see no need to change.

My Sidi's fit well and have proven to be great protection in multiple asphalt surfing attempts.

I would NOT wear Oxtar unless they were sponsoring me.

I've been looking at Oxtar...whats wrong with them?

I have heard of them failing on more than one occasion.

I have personally seen them fail on a buddy in a relatively low speed incident. The bottom of the boot came off and he ended up on crutches due to poor quality control.

Damn, that is unacceptable. The SMX3's held up good when I crashed in them.

SMX Plus boots or better are the only A*s I would wear, otherwise go sidi. There is another brand of boot that is mostly sold in Europe that is suppose to be badass too.

Agreed. I have Sidi Vertigo Corsa Airs (Air just means perforated, not good for basketball). Very comfortable and have held up more than once to a bike falling on them and surfing the asphalt. Picked my bike up and walked away from each one.

Picked them up at a local dealership - beat them down with the prices available online until they matched it.

I found a pair of slightly used SIDI's on Ebay for less than half the retail price. I love my boots.

Pumas look badass. Anyone know how good quality they are?

I have two buddies with the Pumas. They both don't like them. They're both broke, too. Not enough to wear you can't wear 'em, but still broke. Don't waste your money.

What I think you mean is that both the boots are broken and they're not broken enough to the point where you can't wear them. :?:

I thought of puma's because they fit my feet so well. I wear them for most sports I play and have found them to be superior in comfort and fit. I also own several pairs of their casual shoes and again they fit me better than any other shoe I've ever owned. I figured they might be alright for this too. :idk:

my plus boots have survived big wheelin, fiddy racing, and some pretty wicked crashes and I am still wearing the same pair with no foot/ankle injury and they are in great shape. Had to replace the heal guards after the big wheel race, stopping required too much from the plastic ones. Now I just use old boots for big wheelin.

The Puma boots look badass though.

I love my Sidi's. They were super comfy from the get go

I currently wear a pair of Diadora boots that I got ages ago when they used to be a sponsor on a soccer team i played for. we got discounts.

I have a unique problem with boots... i have fairly thick ankles and monster calves... so finding boots to fit and actually close properly is an issue...

the SiDI vertigo Corsa's seem to fit alright... just trying to talk my better half into letting me part with the $425 for them

I really wanna try on some Sidi's... A*'s shit just seems to fit me perfect... it's rare that any brand does... but I really like the new Vortice Air from Sidi though

I love the idea of the replaceable sole - that's the part I wear out first from putting the end of my rear-set into the ball of my foot...

Na good she had 'em on when she dropped the SV. Could been bad, but all it was is a scraped up boot.
She was so sad that her "pretty boots" weren't pretty anymore

Thanks again on the deal!

I have a pair of JR GPX boots I got from Newenough cheap. When I hit the track more, I'll be buying a pair of Sidi Vertigo Corsa/Vortice/whatever.

Astars SMX Plus. Final answer.
Sure- IF THEY FIT. A*s don't fit me for shit. Too wide and too much extra space on top of the foot.

I own a pair of SetUp Vision Boots. http://www.compacc.com/prod.cfm/fid/46/pid/13114
Except I paid $85/pr

Been thru 2 lowsides and didn't blow out the zipper until my last trackday. I have about 3000 miles on them.

Best money/use ratio that I have purchased for my bike
