It actually has semi decent lines this go round. It's a little generic, but that beats the ever loving shit out of the jelly bean years. Now source out another high output engine from Yamaha and bring back the SHO and we'll be on the right track.

The only thing that kinda bothers me is that they reduced the greenhouse for that "me too 300C look". Kinda liked the visibilty of the old Taurus.

The rumors are for the SHO to be an AWD, slushbox, turbo 3.5 version with 350+ horses.

As much as I have disliked Fords design choices over the past couple of years. I'm usually suprised when I actually drive them (cars only). Decent steering and not to bad of a drive. Here's hoping they do well.

The new Fusion is supposed to be really good...now if only they'd over a 6spd manual with the 3.5 in that car.

Or any car with a 3.5

That's way too much shit for a SHO. It almost sounds like the price for the SHO will probably hover around the $35K range.

And for some odd reason Ford sticks us with their shit cars. The European selection of cars always seems to be better rated/reviewed and built to a higher standard. They also seem to have actual performance options rather than some cheapo body panels and badges.

Blame the Americans who head up focus groups over here in the states.
that's the case for all US based manufacturers.

Americans don't want cars...they want CUV\SUV\Commanding View of the road with cars that do a bazillion things like connect to the internet, serve coffee and pull dinkleberries straight from your anus while the seamless automatic transmission and remotecontrol one pinky steerable suspension hides the fact that you are being forced to drive yourself to the mall.

I like the styling and the electronic driver aids are neat although I can still see in my "blind spot" cheaper (it is called paying attention). It does look an awful lot like the Honda Accord to me and that kind of follow the leader never gets much respect from me.

Well fuck the companies for being stupid enough to rely on shoddy focus groups and bean counters to design cars. I'd say that maybe they'd learn from these mistakes, but I sincerely doubt it. These design-by-commitee geniuses gave us all those wonderful ovals everywhere Ford products, BMW "flame surfacing" eye sores, and countless other "company design directions" that have been a blip on the failure radar before disappearing. I hope this economic downturn realigns their focus on producing quality cars now that the cash cows have dried up.

seen the new toyota Venza, i rikey!

The lift kit equipped Camry wagon?

It'll sell simply for being a 4dr Toyota available under 30K.

That thing could be powered by a Hungarian hamster wheel and cause herpes but people would still buy it because "It's a Toyota and it will last a really long time...it will last WAY longer than the 4-6 years I'll actually own it"

It looks like every other not quite station wagon/not quite minivan/not quite SUV. It's a blob of sheet metal with a toyota badge on it that's not quite as useful as a station wagon, not quite as functional as a minivan, and almost as capable as an SUV. And since it is a toyota, you'll be getting all of that not quite functionality at a premium price. Can't wait for the even pricier and more useless Lexus derivative.

agreed, nothing inovating, but then why do "I" need anything innovating? i just need something that fits my needs.

we were on track for a new camaro SS, but w/ another on the way, we'll have to put those plans on the backburner. and I'm not sure i/we want another minivan.

I'm sure, with a little creative welding, you could fab up a mount that will accomodate two kid seats in the trunk with a little bit of sound insulation, leaving the passenger cabin blissfully kid free.

It isn't too bad. :)

The first pic looks great.......Nice rims.........But the pics RacerX posted are a big let-down for some reason.

I'm not too fond of steep rear windows, they tend to heat up the interior and cause reflections.

This would be a good body style to bring the SHO back. They were pretty ballsy back in the day.
