My PowerTrip jacket held up well when I crashed... I'd rock another one.

I'd go for option #1 without checking the details. It just looks better.

You may want to check out this:

I got an email from them and they have a huge sale going on with jackets... I also saw a set of AGV leathers for $200... Sick deals.

I think the second jacket has more value for money since it is constructed with 1.2 to 1.4mm cowhide as oppose to the 1.1 to 1.2 used in the first jacket.

Call newenough and ask them to check if it is easy enough too remove the hideous "TOWER TRIP: street unit" lettering from the front and the back without damaging the jacket.

I like the more subtle looks of the first one better, but the second one is thicker leather (as mentioned above), so I'd go with it based on that alone. And I've got a Power Trip jacket I've been very happy with (Power Trip is the same company as Joe Rocket, so if you've got any Joe Rocket gear already, then you'll already know how it will fit you, as their sizing is pretty consistent across both brands).

As for removing the stitching, I've got that same lettering across the chest of mine, and no, there's no way to remove it easily, without leaving a mess and damaging the leather, so I wouldn't even attempt it.

Keep in mind that a jacket is an investment to protect yourself while on the bike. I would do some research on several sites and see what you can find. 1.4 is a lot better for protection. Also make sure you have the armor in the jacket for your elbows and back.

#2, I love my power trip.

Funny that PT owned by Joe Rocket since my PT fits a whole lot better than any of my JR's.

Agreed. You could also dye the Power Trip logo pretty easily... but the other jacket just looks all around better (visually and construction-wise).

For 80 Dollars I think I may have to buy it...Even if the Logo is not the greatest.

Although its measure by Suit jacket sizes...40,42,44,46 Etc Etc...I wear a Suit Jacket in 46...Safe bet to order the same size for this?? Every other jacket I've bought was sized L,Xl,XXL Etc Etc

thanks guys.
went with the Power Trip jacket.

yeah, i'm not too crazy about the lettering on it either, but for the price.....
it'll grow on me.

this will be fine till i can afford a higher end leather jacket.
i just wanted a leather jacket for better protection than my textile.

i'll give you guys a review when i get it in.
