People who have reactions like this on Salvia are the same people who try to convince me they saw miniture purple elephants driving vintage Harley Davidsons across the ceiling the last time they ate a handful of shrooms.

The thing that sets it apart from other hallucinogens is the intensity difference between open and closed eye visuals. Closed eyes, vivid, loud and fast. Open, disorientation, some trailing, and fuzziness (glowing). Not much of a body buzz, though I've heard others say they had more intense experiences...

For my money, I'd stick with shrooms.

My roommate made me try it once... and i only did because it was legal....

I got really hot, the room got large, and i thought i was seeing things on the tv....

This other kid who has no tolerance to any drug at all tried it too, and thought he was falling through the universe. Me and this girl were making out and i could hear him keep saying that it looked like we were moving through the wall.... idk it interacts with people differently.

The "high" only lasted a couple minutes....

Same, of course the only thing Ive ever done is drink. Never saw the appeal of cigarettes or cigars and looking for a federal job doesnt mix well with drugs.

Stomach bleeding and liver damage are terrible side effects too... That's why I don't take Tylenol.

This is the first I've heard of "salvia"... admittedly I'm out of touch with all that. I'm kinda past that phase in life.

Its related to the mint family of plants. Kinda looks like really really dry, really fine weed. Its legal basically because it gives you a hard 5 minute trip, and then phases out rather fast....

There are different levels of potency of the stuff. They go by number, like 20, 50, and 80. You can pick the stuff up at most waterbeds and stuff....

He had 80, so it was like 1 hit maybe 2....

After doing some research it seems like it would be an interesting drug taken in moderation. It seems to produce very good after effects. The videos of people tripping on it on YouTube are mostly of people smoking it in very high concentrations. The reason the videos are so sad is that those kids are probably already damaged from heavy use of other drugs. I've only done some pretty mild stuff but Shrooms were a lot of fun and I could see doing them again some day.

Since it's legal, I tried it for the first time yesterday. My experience was something like that guys. It was the single worst experience of my life. It was 10 minutes of complete terror followed by feeling like absolute shit for a half hour.

I've ingested all kinds of drugs in my younger days. I've even gone as far as dropping 4 hits of Lsd when I was a teen. And that paled in comparison.

I literally had no idea what was going on. I was completely out of it. It was so bad I even tried to talk my buddy out of trying it. He did it anyway, and it didn't hit him as hard.

Now, keep in mind, we smoked it through a bong. And I was the guinea pig. I did one haul, nothing happened, I did a second and then everything started to vibrate and I was "gone".

Bad juju as far as I'm concerned. It's very powerful. It might only last for 15 minutes. But, you're completely under the effects for that amount of time. And nothing will sober you up except time.

The funny thing is, different things affect different people vastly differently.

I smoke weed literally all day long (in small, controlled doses) to combat a very agressive form of arthritis. I function 100% normal.

If I were to smoke ONE tobacco cigarette, I would have the room spinning, and I'd be completely high, and should I inhale too much; get sick and vomit.

Ketamine. Nothing is better than Ketamine. Shit makes you more than retarded. It's like nitrous that lasts for 45 minutes. So awesome, I never want to do it again.

Interesting. I only heard about this stuff a month or so ago but have never seen any or tried any. This is my first visual of someone actually trying it. I'm surprised it's legal. I experienced with alot of stuff when I was younger but never this stuff. Being legal makes me want to try it but after watching this guy...maybe not.

You can't ever "See" how much you are getting, like in a bong you can see how much smoke is billowing around in there.

You also can't tell how big a hit you got either, after you inhale it. Its wierd. They are supposed to deliver the most THC, but I don't consider it "smoking"

let alone all of the bodily damage it does both long term and short. phsyical and psychological. they tried outlawing it once, it was called the prohibition in the 20's as i am sure most of you know. but when people want something, laws do little to stop them from getting it. so instead of putting thousands in jail, just make it legal, and when something is legal, it becomes socially acceptable.

on a different note, i just came across this. it is the closest to an acid or shroom trip i have ever done without anything. i have seen cheaper versions in emails, but this worked great. just make it full screen and stare at the center.

If I still smoked and had unlimited supply and patience, I'd probably rock knifers 100% of the time. Tastes the best, has a certain MacGyver fun factor, and if you get it right, you can get great hits. It can be wasteful and is a pain in the ass, but whatever.

I get a headache, that's about it. It has never affected my appetite.

I have a history of reacting to drugs and chemicals differently than most people, though. Prescription medications, especially.

I have a VERY high tolerance. I put my body through hell in my teen years. Eating handfuls of shrooms, dropping 3-4 hits of lsd at a time and going about my business in a fucked but managable manner.

Salvia? Total and complete loss of self control. That's why I didn't like it. I like to be impaired, not incapacitated.

I don't recommend you try it. But, you'd have to be some kind of hero to take the bong load of 20-40x salvia, hold it in till you start to vibrate and then not have it effect you.

It's the fucking devil. :rockout:

Apparently the stuff she got came in a color coded potency pack. She got the level 3 stuff and says she wished she'd done level 1 instead... she got way zonked out. :lol:

i lol'd at the falling through the universe thing. my buddy told me about his experience a few years ago where he said something similar. from memory: somehow his body was becoming digitized into little cubes like in lawmower man and then falling away from him out into the universe. so he had to hang onto the top of the door, because it was the last remaining part of the solid universe that wasnt dissolving his body into cubes. i asked him to give me the full written recounting of this. i think someone came in and saw a broken table and him hanging from the door.

Turns out, my wife bought a bag of this stuff about three years ago and just found it while cleaning out a closet this weekend. She had bought an entire "fun pack" of alternative (legal) smoking herbs.

Tried it through a pipe. No effect for about thirty minutes, after which I became very sleepy. No "high" and no hallucinations. :idk:

:whistle: I know you'd like to believe that drugs do not effect you whatsoever. But, it just doesn't work that way. You're not magic. If you ingest drugs that make your body behave a certain way, then even you will have that effect when you ingest those drugs.
