Well if you dont already know, I work for wawa...For those that know what a wawa is, good. those that dont... www.wawa.com

So anyway, I'm an Assistant general manager there...which basically means I'm the boss. I work five days a week, usually around 50 hours within that week.

But I'm dedicating this thread to all the stupid shit I have to deal with from customers everyday...Like yesterday, I had a kid come up to register...Monster in hand, eyes all fucked up and he was DEF high as a kite but might have been wasted to...I ring up the drink. he asks for a Grape dutch and I immediately ask for ID...He says no he doesn't have it and I say sorry I cant sell it to you. So he leaves...Goes out to his car then the DRIVER of the car gets out comes in...walks around the store like he going to buy something and comes up to the counter empty handed and goes, Can I have a grape dutch...I politely decline the sale because the previous kid obviously wasnt of age to buy tobacco and its illegal for you to purchase tobacco for minors ad its ILLEGAL FOR ME To sell it to someone who i willingly know is buying it for a minor....So the dude freaks out, Starts screaming I'm 30 FUCKING years old this is Bullshit Fuck you if its the law blah blah blah...I'm 10 secs from calling the cops and there are little kids all over the store...I'm like "Sir you need to calm down and leave my store or I will call the police report your license plate and have them pull you over for possible drunk driving and DEFINITE possession of Marijuana" He shut the fuck up and walked out.

But seriously...you really think that being a dick to the guy who SELLS you the shit is gonna work? AND i'm the boss, it may have worked with one of my younger cashiers who even though they know the law dont listen to it and sell shit anyway (which is a constant battle with me trying to get them to follow the rules) I really wanted to reach over the counter and lay the fucking guy out...worthless shithead.

And Lastly, For today anyway b/c I have to go to work in an hour...When people are handing me change like, Pennies, Dimes, Etc etc...I ALWAYS hold out my hand...And I have a big fucking hand...its not a little baby hand its fucking huge, you would THINK they would put the change IN MY HAND right?...WRONG some people just put it on the counter and completely ignore my open hand...so then I have to pick it up off the counter which takes more time therefore I get pissed off b/c your fucking stupid to realize that my BIG ASS HAND was right next to you.

Ah I love my Job :rockwoot:

Its not THAT Stupid...Its a Goose.

But I could write a fucking 60 Page thread ALONE on some of the shit I deal with...I'll start keeping this up to date daily with some entertaining stories I have from work...Trust me you guys will find it comical.

I always said I want to make a movie about the Place...Most people dont think being the Manager of a Convinet store is A. Good Money B. Hard work. and C. They think customers are just happy go lucky all the time.

I got one lady who SNIFFS the coffee pots and asks which one is the freshest...Seriously lady? you take your coffee that serious that you have to SNIFF It?? then she makes you brew a new pot EVEN IF YOU JUST PUT OUT A FRESH ONE...She said I could be lying that its fresh and she didnt see me put the pot out so how does she know how longs its been sitting there....Uh, B/c I fucking told you???

BAH!!!

I didn't realize that you worked at a gas station.

Are you Indian or Pakistani?

Assistant General Manage is not THE boss. The General manager is the boss. You're his assitant.

The GM is your brother isn't he?

Your parents own the place and don't pay taxes.

Wawa is a stupid name. :sorry:

Yesterday was going good until about 10:30...These two guys walked in with this girl...Girl kinda cute, guys acting like complete assholes. I had thrown away old bagels and they were walking by the trash can and the kid's like Hey are these still good, I looked at him like are you serious there in the trash, he' s like yeah but there still good right?. Who the fuck wants food thrown in a TRASH CAN MIXED WITH OTHER TRASH...WTF Is wrong with people.

So the kid ACTUALLY Tries to grab one out of the trashcan when I turn my back...Fucking ridiculous. I turned around again and he dropped it and was like HAHAHA I was just kidding but he said it with a sneer. Guy was a definite jerkoff.

And let it be known now that I actually Like my job, I just hate idiotic/stupid/asshole people...but I get along great with customers...I dont want you guys thinking I hate my job and shit...Lol

Oh there ever so Abundant.

I work in a non gas Store now...But when I worked in my last one it was a Gas Station Wawa...Wel it was a nice store and all but it was in the heart of retirement village NJ...like 6 or seven of them surronding the store Old people EVERYWHERE...I had a old guy come in in the dead of summer and go..."I have a complaint...Your gas guy took to long to fill my tank"

Let me give you a visual, If there was a parking spot.it had a car/bike/boat/truck in it...The Fuel court, Every pump open with 5 gas guys running around like maniacs with 2 to 3 cars BEHIND the ones sitting at the pumps...And this guy wants to complain about it taking to long??

I offered him a free cup of coffee while he waited for US TO PUMP HIS gas.

One guy called the cops on me b/c I put his receipt under his windsheild wiper...I had a truck driver park his 18 wheeler behind my store with a Helicopter strapped to the back...The local police knew me by first name b/c they were there so much...And when gas was almost 4 dollars a gallon I had people EVERYDAY try and argue to get Free gas.

New Jersey and Oregon are both that way. I don't know why. When I've ridden in those two states, they just hand me the pump. They don't want to risk scratching my bike, and I wouldn't let pump it anyway.

When Carolina and I were in Oregon this year, we met a guy at a station in the middle of nowhere that did the same thing. He handed me the pump. I asked him why it was a state law. He said "I don't know. It's been like that since I was a kid. We've always pumped the gas. I think they do it to keep us in a job.* I asked him if he realized that there were 48 other states in the US where we had to pump our own gas, and there were people running those stations too, so basically, Oregon was just creating more work for him. He thought about it for a minute and decided I was right and didn't like that idea so much anymore.

You guys are telling me that its not LEGAL to pump your own gas? WHY?!

From Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petrol_stations

.......All stations in New Jersey and Oregon, however, offer only full service and mini service; attendants are required to pump gas because customers are barred by statutes in both states from pumping their own gas. New Jersey banned self-service gasoline in 1949 after lobbying by service station owners. Proponents of the ban cite safety and jobs as reasons to keep the ban. Likewise, the Oregon statute banning self-service gasoline lists seventeen different justifications, including the inflammability of gas, the risk of crime from customers leaving their car, the toxic fumes emitted by gasoline, and the jobs created by requiring mini service. In addition, the ban on self-service gasoline is seen as part of Oregonian culture. One commentator noted, “The joke is when babies are born in Oregon, the doctor slaps their bottom, ‘No self-serve and no sales tax’ It’s as much a cultural issue as an economic issue. It’s a way of life.” In 1982, Oregon voters rejected a ballot measure sponsored by the service station owners, which would have legalized self-service gas.

Thats better then I envisioned. With my luck I would get some angry old man determined to obey the law and look me right in the eyes as he filled my tank up . Without a doubt I would get off the bike and let the man do his thing.

I was pumping gas one time and this guy comes up on a Harley...Typical Harley gear...Brain bucket chaps leather vest cut off gloves...Looks like a toolshed. So I walk over and hes trying to swipe his card (I make sure I do it so I know it gets processed properly) Dude cops an attitude with me like I'm trying to pump it for him...hes like "I got it chief" im like I know sir im just making sure everything is done the way its supposed to.
