Ok,
I need some help from anyone that has Sidi boots. I got a pair of Sidi Vertigo's this past saturday in Daytona. But i'm thinking I got the wrong size. So I want the opinion of people who own Sidi's.

I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe. I tried on both the 44 and 45 in Sidi's. The 44 seemed really snug and my toes were almost against the end of the boot. I then tried the 45 and I had plenty of room in the toe area. However when I walked my heel slipped abit. I figured that would be fine since I would be riding most of the time I wore them

Well I went with the 45's. I wore them around the house for an hour and then I wore them to ride into work yesterday. On the ride home, I noticed that they were much looser then when I first got them. When walking or picking my feet up riding, I have almost an inch of play around the heel area. It's almost to the point that, i'm worried about how well they would stay on in an accident. I have the calf ratchet as tight as I can get it.

So does it sound like I need to go with the 44 and deal with them being tight till they break in? I've tried Joe Rocket boots, Alpinestars boots, Teknic boots, and they all fit me the same way.

I just wanted some opinions before I either return these or post them up for sale to order a new set. Thanks in advance.

Huh. Mine didn't stretch out at all, but then my feet are narrow compared to the boy-feet the boots are made for. Are they the RACE version with the arch ratchet?

I'm going to say you have the wrong size. Sorry.

I think so also. I just thought about something also. Saturday when I tried on the boots, it was almost 7pm at night. We had been walking around at the speedway all day. So my feet were probably alittle swollen. So thats why the 44's were too tight and the 45's fit better then.

Man, an inch is a big deal. It's really strange to me that they would stretch out that much. Any possibility of bringing them back to where you got them, or was it part of the *show* of Daytona?

They were loose in the heel to begin with. Maybe a 1/2 inch when I first tried them on. But after wearing them for a few hours and riding with them, I think they got alittle worse.

Either that, or my feet were really swollen on saturday evening. Who knows.

I bought them from Street & Competition at the speedway. I've tried calling them, but I keep getting an answering machine.

:( I would leave a message, it's Tuesday, so likely they are swamped coming back after the weekend...

I have sidi's.... they won't stretch much, but if your heel is coming up, they're too big. Especially since you will be on the balls of your feet when riding hard for the most part, you'd rather get them tighter. I'd drop a size.

Just a follow up. I swapped out my SIDI boots for 44's and they fit perfect now. Thanks for the advice everyone.

My SIDI boots seem to run on the narrow side with the width and my Oxtar (aka TCX) boots seem to run wide with the width. Overall lengths seem to be about the same.

Good info. I have my eye on a pair of Sidi boots.

I actually have wide feet. I wear a 10 1/2 EE shoe. D is the standard size and EE is a wide size. I don't have any issues with the width of the Sidi's at all.

However I have been told by a few people next time around look into Kommodo boots. They are apperantly made in america and their sizing is more tradational/wider sizing then european boots.

My feet are actually relatively wide, and I had to go with a smaller size SIDI boot than I expected. Maybe that was to fit the length though... the width is comfortable and has broken in nicely. Or maybe they just fit a certain foot contour better :idk:
