I wantz this, the only thing keeping me from buying it is the range. I don't think I could handle having only one bike that is 80-100 mile limit.

I don't really go on rides where I don't take a break every 100 miles, the main thing stopping right now is A. She didn't ride with me at all last season, she may take the MSF, or she may want to get a big adv bike like a GS1200 we can both ride on comfortably. I am waiting to see what her decision is and then I will decide what I get next. I know it won't be another standard sportbike.

My wife is starting to learn on a small dirtbike. Much less intimidating for her.

Ah, it would be a nice bike to have, but I would rather get something adv related if my wife got involved and wanted to take trips on the bike. Otherwise I won't spend money on something I won't do very often if she isn't going to come with me. Plus I got other options of getting a motard and a dual sport for the same price as a hyper. Hyper is pretty heavy, a katoom might be another choice.

I taught Andrea how to ride the fiddy. She was ok on it, but I want to get her in the MSF to see how she takes to actual street riding preparation. If she is so so into it, then I probably will just suggest she doesn't get one.

Black with the red frame is the business... would've bought one, but I was impatient and was having a hard enough time finding the base model in red. Not to mention the extra $3k was kind of a dealbreaker at the time with my ex.

I really don't see Jaime ever street riding. We may just both get dirt bikes to ride together, and I'll keep the trackbike.

And you call me a bad influence.

I'd say trade the 1098 in for a 1098S and then have a Hypermotard or a Monster 1100S as the second bike. :D

One of the dudes that works at a local Duc dealer rides exactly that. I must have stared at his bike for a solid 5 minutes without blinking while it was on the sidewalk out front.

Officially it's called a Ducati Streetfighter. They already have a Monster 1100 that is no where near as cool as that bike.

It does not come with a red frame. Fail. Here's the redeemer...it's a fully tuned up 1098 engine...none of this "retuned for midrange" manufacturer bullshit.

You want beautiful? Imagine a Ducati crew showing up to a trackday ready willing and able to not only ride them like they were meant to - but, buying them JUST for that.
