F-ing Comcast

Here I sit on my two days off with NO interwebz at home. I've been fighting Comcast since Tuesday afternoon. They turned off my shit due to a payment they said they never received. So I had to fax a copy of my bank statement proving that the payment was taken out. They still say they've never received it. The bank has called them twice as well, with all the information yet they still say payment was never received! Now I'm having the bank file fraud charges against them just to get my money back.

I'm pissed! No money & no internet...or land line (phone)....or cable. Comcast is the only cable & internet cable provider in my area that I know of. If it weren't or the fact that I need cable internet as opposed to DSL, I'd go through Ma Bell. I have 3 computers that need internet connection & DSL is too slow for multiple streaming.

The only thing that keeps me half ass sane is having internet on my phone, but I'm limited on it. I can't pay bills or shop for shit I need for my bike.

At least I can surf TWF, even though posting is a bit slow.....

Don't know. As far as I know Comcast is the only cable provider.

And to make matters worse, my roommates may be moving out which is going to leave money extremely tight again. I may need a second job to help meet bills instead of a new bike like I was wanting to do. :(

verizon fios also does TV so you should see if its available in your are, gives you another option

Yep. I went up the chain x's 3. They keep saying they need to find the money in order to credit the account, but in my way of thinking, I proved I paid...if they lost the damn money, why should I suffer? I did what I was supposed to do. It doesn't make sense!

if you do go back they should at least credit you for the lost time. You shouldnt have to pay for a months worth of service if you have been offline for a week or whatever.

I feel your pain Rogue. A couple of years back I had both the cable company and my landlord state that I failed to pay. Cable is on direct deduction and the landlord was on the 3rd of 12 post-dated cheques. Some people are just fucking idiots.
