I bought a set of custom painted K7 GSXR 1000 from auctmart for $599 shipped. Since the plastics were a custom paint order it took approx 6 weeks from date of payment to delivery.

The box that the fairings came is was sturdy and the fairings were packed very well to prevent any damage.

After taking my time to unwrap all the fairing i was truly surprised at the quality of the paint and the over all finish of the product i had purchased.

i had requested a replica of the K7 orange/black plastics and what i got was not a 100% match but it was close enough to me.

It took me 6-8 Hours to mount the fairings as it required all lot of fiddling on my part to get them to fit just right but none the less after i had put in the effort required i absolutely love the way my bike looks. The plastics around the headlight were the trickiest to get to fit exactly right (approx 1.5 hours) but in the end they did fit perfectly.

The pictures below are to illustrate how well the fitment of the fairings can be if you put in the time and effort required.

And now my BIKE is all its glory.

The only thing that was broken in shipping was the free windscreen that auctmart sent me.

One little detail that could set that off... Pull the Two Bros badge, paint it the same orange as the rest of the bike. That would be a tiny little touch that would be awesome.

You get real motivated powdercoat the rearsets and passenger pegs black.

Oh, and powdercoat or swap the levers out for black ones.

Auctmarts? Never heard of them...do they sell motorcycle plastics? BTW if you E Mail them, they'll send you a replacement windscreen free of charge.

I'm glad they worked out for you! I know that they can be harder to install than stock BUT at $599 for custom painted fairings,I still think that it is a great deal. I still challenge anyone to buy a stock set of plastic and have it custom painted for $600. Hey Azoom, how about it?

They look great! I'd go with OSP's suggestions - at least go black on the pegs or better yet, get some rearsets.

 I wouldn't spend six hours on plastics. But, hey...

Ha ha! Yea,no offense to the guy but I'm guessing it would have taken him a fair piece of time to install stock plastic as well....

I'd totally agree on the rear sets idea, except that the stock pegs are already adjustable...of course if he doesn't have any problems with Chinese products,he can get rearsets for $150 and levers for about $60-100 in black...

Nice work! You should do a follow-up in a year or two on how they plastics and paint are holding up. :)

I know that I shouldn't put all the blame on the plastics. I'm spoiled with Italian engineering that takes about a minute to take all the plastics off the bike. 22 seconds if it's just the sides...

You and your deals

I'll probably get the rearsets, levers, and passenger pegs powercoated black somewhere down the line. At this point for my style of riding i just cannot justify buying aftermarket rearsets or levers esp. when the stock ones have so much adjustibility.

As for painting the 2-Bro logo i'll see if i can get that done in a few weeks when i attempt my lower fairing extension mod.

Yep! I've said it before,I don't think that they are as good as stock BUT for the money,I think that it's a good deal. People are constantly discussing "quality","how long the paint will last","how long the plastic will last","crash endurance",etc... heck,at these prices,I'm already considering buying another set for my bike. Personally,I've never kept a sport bike beyond 4 years,so I really don't care if the plastic stands the "test of time". Besides,I don't think that the stock plastic is exactly "built to last",when I hit my last deer, the entire Suzuki made body, sans the tail, blew off my bike. These new stock bodies are held together with plastic snaps and very few actual bolts and screws.

well the bike I just bought has been down... it's not bad... but I would like to get some new ones and paint them Orange and black... or maybe just orange...

i've replaced a ton of body parts on bikes over the years, and factory stuff takes NO TIME compared to chinese stuff, but overall, they do look pretty good when you're finally done, and for the price, ya cant go too wrong

Looks great...Where did you find this Auctmart? Link? I would like a spare set for my bike. I like to change themes now and again and it wouldn't hurt to have a spare set for track days...

I agree on DZUS, great product.

The Duc's have been engineered to quickly remove the plastics because, let's face it, they're DUCS! I've seen two stroke racers that spend less time tinkering than a typical Ducati racer.

OP has a Suzuki for the street. Except for oil changes, he has no need to remove and reinstall the plastics.

Yea and they'll do custom work for you as well. They used to have a color chart on their website but they probably took it down.:idk:

well their website has a lot of empty links... they only have fairings... but they have a link for HID and shit... :idk:

thanks though... it'd be worth it if they look half as good as yours do

Only problem is half the time you order them they send you ones that have the holes in the wrong place. Or the dzus clips are missing or it takes 6 months to get it. We will not even talk about the bolts that loosen up cause they don't use loctite.

Sorry Azoom but I have worked on a few too many ducks on the side of the road to love them. My friends 748 was nicknamed "the little yellow Harley". I bought him a key chain that was a duck in a life vest. Between that and the buell it was like a rolling bike repair clinic at the gap a few years back.

Now I'd rock a Priller or a KTM.

Ok now this reminds me of the "scientific theory" thread. For one,we are discussing Auctmarts plastic,so any "experience" you have with another company has zero validity. Plus, you all act as is you've installed hundreds of sets of Auctmarts plastic and know firsthand it's level of quality. Which I doubt. Lastly, you know one person who has a Ducati with problems and thus all Ducatis are junk...:dthumb:

I used one friend as a example and only listed a few of his many problems. He also had clutch engine seal, rear brake, cracked overflow bottle repeatedly, flaking rocker arms, leaking stator cover with 1000 miles, an the freeze plug back out that causes the crank to be ground away.

The same guy has owned 2 different honda with no major problems with lots of miles on them.

I worked on 3 different ducks on the side of the road in one weekend trip to the gap.

Oh and we will not even mention the fact that during some parts of the year the parts are impossible to get cause they take a month off for holiday and it take them 3 or 4 months to get caught back up.

Have seen several friends order stuff that had the holes drilled in completely different places (wind sheilds and farings) On both Monsters and the sportier models.

The 748s were known to have crank(bolt backing out), Stator and clucth cover bolts backing out, cracking over flow bottle, rear brake over heat that ruin the seals and rocker flaking problems. Ducatis response to said issues was less than steller.

I love the looks of Ducks but would never own one after the problems I have seen.

And for any one to tout there engineering makes me laugh, though its more over the installation that seems to be the problem.

*sniff* Tigger... did you just have my back??!?

Nick, we've gone 'round and 'round about that topic. I'm OK with people not buying Ducati motorcycles or having their own opinion of them. :idk:

These plastics look nice - and I'm sure for the street they are fine. In a more high-risk situation such as racing or constant track use I'd be more likely to go with fiberglass that I could easily repair myself rather than needing to buy another set. Tigger - find a vendor that does glass rather than plastic for me... you're good at finding deals
