Cori texted me about this tonight. I know a lot of former CF'ers knew Judge, at least online, so I thought I'd let you know.

So far no one has posted what happened. I know he struggled with PTSD and some depression issues, and the obit I found says he died at home which leads me to morbid thoughts I feel guilty for having. :(

well I hope that's not the reason...

but regardless of the reason... it's sad to hear about someone leaving us before our time... but hits home when it's a fellow rider.

I just did a search of CF posts to see if I could find anything about medical issues he may have had. He did mention something about asthma in one of them but that was all I saw. Not that I read every post he ever made, obviously.

It was VERY bittersweet going through old threads. He was such a shit talker and a total crackup. :(

ETA: He was 2 years YOUNGER than me. Much to young to die. :(

Please keep in mind I have NO idea what happened, and no one has posted, I'm just HOPING it wasn't due to depression. I don't want to start a rumor, you know? :(

I know and I'm not trying to start any rumors either. He had other health issues he didn't let be known to many people. Brian was my friend & we were close. We talked almost everyday since we met online when I found CF....on the phone or texting, until the last few months...about two or three times a month. He came off as a hard ass alot but it was a cover for his huge heart and kind soul.

I'm really going to miss him. :(

I'm I'm not mistaken, he and Nikki were close at one time. I wonder if she knows?

He for sure had a "softer side" that he didn't show much online.

And yeah, when 1fast lived in MI a long time ago they hung out and rode with a lot of the same people. I don't know how much they have been in touch since then though. Cori posted a thread in the MI forum on CF and Excessa cross posted to the Grandstands so maybe 1fast will see it and post if she knows anything.

They are actually both cities in the metro-Detroit area. I don't know if he had family in Florida or not.

Response to the PM I sent to one of the guys who attended his funeral. I let him know that Brian had many friends or people who at least had interaction with him for years either on CF or other boards, and that many offered their condolences.

Thank you for your words and info. It is very unfortunate that someone so young as Brian has passed, but alas he is gone and I would like to leave it as that.

I appreciate your offer of condolences and if you feel compelled, we will be doing a ride to benefit his family in the spring and would appreicate any donations.

Thanks for the effort to let the other board know the condolences from his friends from other forums. It's very appreciated.

Who would I need to contact to learn more about the benefit ride and donations? I can't make the ride, but I'd like to contribute something. Brian has a special place in my heart and was a big part of my life the last couple of years. I'd like to do something in return, if possible.

As soon as they have it setup they're going to let me know. I don't know who is actually arranging things though at this point. I'll post when I get info but spring doesn't happen for awhile in Michigan. :)

Brian always told me to go fuck myself or some other similar remark when I'd tell him I was out riding in March or later and he was complaining because there was still ice or snow out.

Just read on the forum where we originally heard about this that he died from a blood "clog" which I think might have been meant to say "clot" in his lung. His wife was waiting to get the results of the toxicology report before letting people know what happened.
