So I spent ALL DAY Yesterday moving into my New home. There is literally Shit EVERYWHERE. I feel so unorganized and that its gonna take years to sort through and get my shit back inline.

It is quite the feeling though to wake up in your own home and make breakfast fo you and your Fiancee and just look out the window with it snowing and know you Own the house not just rent or live there.

I have some pictures of the mayhem. And I've already been to Lowes Twice, and I'm going back to Home Depot today AGAIN.

If I go MIA for a few days my Fiancee probably has me working like a mexican in a corn field working on the house!!

:twfix: Holla..

Welcome to home ownership. It is a great feeling. We did start to feel like the people at Lowe's and Home Depot knew us by name.

It's great. I love home ownership.

except on a beautiful day when I want to ride, but have to mow the lawn.

And I gotta take a picture of the inside of the shed...its Ridiculously huge and can fit like 4 bikes easy its on a concrete slab and has eletric wired to it...Perfect for hooking up the charger during the winter months...And PLENTY of room for spare bike parts :) Now I have an excuse to get a track bike and extra plastics ;)

Her dad is a truck driver and he had a load of them and the one box was damaged but the contents was fine but the ppl he was delivering to wouldnt take it even though they were getting billed for it anyway...so he gave her the whole fucking box.

Tell me about it...Im excited though I get to make this how I WANT IT not how an apartment complex wants it.

And I think I might just unleash the rear tire on the gragae to help me relieve some stress when the bike gets here.

its a great feeling till your mortgage goes up $400/mos cuz the mortgage broker didn;t put enough escrow.

seems to be the case w/ alot of peeps i know, usually about 10-20% higher the 2nd yr.

Almost, you need to buy yourself a small heater first. :p The list goes on!

Moving is fun, you get to find shit you never knew you had then you throw it out. When I moved I threw out more shit then I took with me. I still have have a few boxes sitting around that I didn't unpack yet too, and I moved here a few years ago. Get it done early or it'll never happen. lol

Grats on owning your own place, I can't wait to get that feeling.

I agree...I have boxes I never unpacked. I've been here nearly 3 years.

Count me in the "hates moving" group!! Am I seeing a Sony WEGA TV in one of those pics? We have the 36" model of that TV and I swear to God I would rather drop it and watch it break into a billion pieces than to have to move that mother f'ing TV ever again.

Painting I don't mind for the most part. Except bathrooms. Hate painting behind toilets. Grosses me out unless its new construction and the toilet has never been used.

As for the the garage floor, epoxy coat that bad boy!

And I thought I was bad for having boxes I haven't unpacked since my move at the first of November. I don't feel so bad now.

He said he had a shed that could easily fit 4 bikes with a slab and electricity wired to it. That's all that matters. :dthumb:

Does anyone ever really like moving?
I mean, sure... there's the excitement of getting a new place/better place/out of a bad place/etc... but the actual business of moving... bleah.

I didn't mind when it was into my own place that I was buying. I wasn't fond of all the unpacking and shit, but knowing it was going into a place that was going to be mine eventually made it worth it.

Renting...moving's a big PITA.

I have a 2 stall garage that fits my pickup and my gf's car, 2 bikes, snowblower, and lawnmower, with a workbench across the front and some storage shelves.
I also have a one stall garage that fits my cutlass, and can park both bikes in there as well.

And no... that's not enough room... Waiting to build on after I get back from my deployment.

Both of those are bigger than my garage...which is zero sq. feet.

Sixxxxer
02-04-2009, 09:42 AM
Lol, Well The Bike doesnt need much room...And My Race car is smaller so it can easily fit that plus the bike plus Bike/car shit...Its a 1 car garage nothing more nothing less...but who cares if its small I still have one to keep the bike safe and out of the elements.

I plan on redoing the garage anyway...as well as cleaning out the shed.

But shitty news for today I woke up today and my thermostat Wont turn on my heater...it's like 50 inside my house right now and falling...

The joys of owning a Home already...
