I use a laser level to hang pictures.

Cool. I like the laser level idea too but I would probably use the actual level. Don't know why...

I just drive a nail and stick them up there, usually after drinking. Unless they're centerfolds, seems like those stick to the wall all on their own.

There's smaller one-time use versions of that that are really cool as well.

Funny/true story however:

In our office we've got an upstairs 'reception' area near the Exec's offices (and on the largest wall is, of course, one of those framed motivational posters). Over the holidays, we moved around some of the furniture to put up a Christmas tree, and stockings (so we had to take down the motivational poster).

When we took it down, we noticed this neat little picture hanging bracket with a built in level... hmmm... that's really cool! Then we noticed -- it was WAY crooked. The dumb-fuck that hung it STILL couldn't get it right, even with a built in level!!! Bahahahahahaahahaah.....

As a soon to be new homeowner I am on a tool buying kick and could see myself buying one.

I recently ordered a mechanics stool and a utility cart from northern tools
