hey all...well...closing on my new house this week, and i've got an oversized 2 car garage that is just plain as hell.....

well....i do know that i want to paint on the epoxy garage floor covering, something granite looking or the like. i know i will be putting some tool boxes in and hanging some of my bike stuff and plastics on the walls.....

just trying to get some ideas for colors of flooring as well as i want to paint the wall something other than just that plain flat eggshell white.....

so, if anyone has any pics, ideas, thoughts, ect.....lets hear them, cause i'm searching now for ideas......

Do the grey epoxy with the white or multi-colored texture crap. Then do your walls a darker grey and use black pegboard for your tools. Red lines for your parking spaces will stand out nicely. I like to put the black and yellow striped lines, redlines, and little notices, make the garage look like an industrial environment. Makes me feel more manly out there. But it's your garage man.

good idea, if Z can paint the inside of the house, i should be allowed to paint the inside of the garage

i'm cuttiing off panels from diff. kinds of 6 packs of beers, andplan to cover a wall w/ them. up to about 7 lol

i also put up the rubbermaid fastrack garage system

i kind of like the darker floor base colors but i had also thought about doing some grey on the walls, but think that dark base with grey walls may not look all that great....but not sure if i really want to do an actual color on the walls....thought about painting the whole grage kawi green, but........lol....

Sounds like when we bought our place with an oversized 2 car garage.

When we moved in...plain...the garage is located on the backside of the house.

That looks about like what I was thinking, but you need more pegboard.

BTW I have heard people say that if you do any "work" in your garage that its harder to find dropped parts on the dark floors.

You can thank Megan for that work of genius - she ambushed his Vette when we were at her New Year's party.

Are you planning to do any work in the garage, or just park in it?
I've got corrugated steel roofing for the bottom 4', with white pegboard over it, (stole the idea from a guy on the old garagejunkies forum), then over that I've got composite board, since it's easy to nail shit to (I've got 12' walls). :dthumb:

Yea most all of my pegboard is in the 12' x 16' building/workshop out back.

i'll be doing some work in there...both on the bikes and on the cars.....

i was looking at the epoxy floor stuff....black base and some grey and maybe blue chips or something like that....didn't think itd be to bad to find bolts though....

not sure on wall color, but don't want white like it is now....

will have lots of race/bike pictures up on the wall...want to put a small single bike lift in the middle of the stall, tool boxes on the side/back....peg board will be up on some part of the wall...hang tools from and also to hang spare body work from the walls....

going to check out the garage junkie forum as well.....

Yea non white walls do look good but the white walls help alot with lighting.

I haven't really had any problems with my black flooring as far as finding dropped bolts and stuff.

If your going to have a lot of posters I would just go with the white. If not you might need to add more lights with the dark floor and non white walls.
