Look close, there is not much that is the same as stock. Aside from the obvious plastics, exhaust,tires and forks, the frame and the swing arm are different. Rear sets are different as well. The ONLY thing those bikes have in common is the basic shape and the Yamaha name behind it.

At the IMS show.. the new R1 was one of the few that stood out as one I want to buy... in white.. but I gotta do something about that damn red seat

Actually... I could lose all the red... solid white with a black seat... yeah. that will work

At the Cleveland show, they had an 08 Fiat edition next to the new 09's..... IMO visually the 08 is one of the sexiest bikes ever, and while the 09 is groundbreaking... its ugly as fuck!
