Ahhh...the good ole Viperject days.

IIRC, the harmonic balancer had some type of rubber isolator that would become weak and tear apart. You need to take the belt off and remove the balancer and replace if this rubber shit is fucked up.

dunno about the elec. but sounda like you have a short somewhere

i bet your gonna have to replace the engine, dunno about the 1.6 much, but there's a long nose 1 vs the short, and the short one was the one that went bad.

I love internet car techs....If its an open, its a short. If its a short to ground, ts a short. If its a short to ignition voltage, its a short. Its ALWAYS a short. LOL
