View Full Version : Where does your bike live?

This is the "man cave" hey i ain't rich, its the best i can do! but it serves its purpose, and its where we all hang out before and after the ride, watch races, etc

couple of notes: My bike has 2 roomates(that dont pay rent or clean or shit)

Yes that is a 2005 636 Ninja stuffed in the corner(been there like 10 months)

Yes that is a confederate flag with Hank Jr on it(no i'm not a racist)

Yes that is an old school projection TV, but it was free and it works, there is also another 19 inch tv in the corner not shown, stereo, DVD player, play station, computer, etc

Yes I need to vacume, and straighten it up

Those parts hanging in the corner are from putting the R1 in the pic back together several times

I bought all the "leather" seats at a garage sale for $5

I bought the carpet that needs vacumed for $10

The two helmets and the leathers in the corner have been crashed hard and are no longer good for anything

a lift would be nice...

The biggest problem with the basement workshop is, that you can't open the doors wide enough to run an engine (the whole house will smell like exhaust fumes). We'll be closing in the attached carport this summer to have another garage/workshop.

In true ZUKIMON fashion, I ended up getting it for less than asking price after paying for everyone's lunch, the fuel bill and the cost of the building. :D :D Now to finish setting it up at home and building a solid, non-skid ramp to get the bike in and out without laying it down.

My ex built some ramps that were originally for the four-wheeler but we used them to ramp the bikes in our storage building. I can't tell you exactly what he used...but maybe a pic will help.

Excuse the mess...he just chunked a bunch of shit in it...typical of him.

http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g191/SVRogue/PDR_2234450x600.jpg

Depending upon how high it sits, even basic metal four-wheeler ramps work. We had a metal one we used as well and it worked with no problems.

Again...his domain....his mess.

funny as soon as the walls were up on mine people said I needed a bigger garage. so far it has a '74 Torino, '73 VW, the bike, the boat, tool boxes, and benches. One little spot left for working on the jeep and truck. The poor 1980 Malibu got sold, no fit.

I think my toys need more space.
