Reading the razor post got me to thinking. A) I hope Adeptus Minor can grow facial hair fast to keep up his razor hobby. B) It is amazing what hobbies and interest people take up.

Remember the "Bush Letter" that they had on CBS years ago? And then some bloggers got a hold of it and said "Wait a second, most typewriters of that era couldn't do that" and had all the info on the typewriters of that time. I wouldn't notice if Bush's letter had a http address in it but these guys picked up on all kinds of errors.

So I'm curious what weird random hobbies/interest you have.

I guess I can say I obsess with road/trail maps. I can literally look at Google Maps for hours on end. Not even the street or satellite view, just the basic view.

All of my hobbies are pretty normal by this board's standards...

Motorcycles, getting wasted, shooting guns, jerking off, the internet...

I've had other, less normal hobbies... Fixing/modding video game systems, fire play, drugs...

I've also had some very normal hobbies... Drawing/art, bicycling, PWC's, womanizing...

I have a hobby of collecting motorcycles, parts and spending time teaching people how to maintain and repair their bikes. Oh and I use a lot of time dreaming up new possible color schemes that would make bikes look REALLY good.

other than that, I dont have much of a life.

I like walking thru cemetaries, just seeing old names, dates, trying to find the oldest headstone/tombstone there....

All the rest are pretty normal. Dogs, photography, RC Aircraft, Gaming, Motorcycles.... Random trivia.

I used to do that as a kid but we lived right up the street from a cemetary so we were always messing around in there.

last year we went up to mass, and stopped for a break across from a cemetary, most of the people there were from the 1700's you could bareley read the stones they were weathered so bad.

What's a "hobby"? Computers, surfing Craigslist, riding when we have a bike, and the usual girl stuff...SHOPPING!!! Mostly online or at thrift stores, of course...

I do enjoy fixing stuff too...came from being married to someone for 14 years with no aspirations to actually have something that didn't always need fixing...thus, no money. I'll do carpentry, small electronics, minor car repairs, house repairs...whatever needs done. I'd rather do that than cook and clean. I get immediate gratification in fixing something and having it work/look good.

Probably the strangest is Geocaching, thats alot of fun, and something you can do anywhere and anytime.

As for more normal pursuits, photography, scrapbooking (at which I suck) and jewelry making.

I also like cemetaries and old things, and pretty much anything with a bit of "old" catches my attention.

Going to NOLA next weekend and at the top of my agenda is the cemetary tour, the ghost and vampire tour and haunted homes tour! Then the zoo and aquarium. :dthumb:

Dude, you pass right by me, YOU MUST CALL! I'll meet up and ride with you for a while.

I'm into pretty normal stuff, motorcycles and shooting are pretty standard for this crowd. I also make ringtones for my phone, I don't know why I like it so much. I'm pretty into useless trivia.

I think my weirdest hobby is reading. Nobody I know reads very much, whereas I devour books in hours, even big jobs like Doestevsky. I also enjoy discussing philosophy and religion, but that's not really a hobby.

If I was on the bike and not coming in in the middle of the night, I definitely would. However Im sure it wont be long cuz as soon as Ebbs gets a place I am SO THERE! We'll all go riding! You'll have to come over with him too sometime.

Reading isnt weird, I didnt add it to my list cuz I didnt want to be too huge a nerd, but I'd far rather read a book than watch a movie or tv!

I would too, except mine extends to face-to-face meets with government types, letters to Ministers, and on rare occasion getting involved in organizing a protest/petition.

Then there's the whole track photography thing that ties up most of my weekends for half of the year.

... and people get pissed off when I say that I'm too busy, to get involved in something else.

Nothing too bad but interesting stuff. I was hoping to hear "I compete my 39 cats in cat shows"

For the cemeteries. I do enjoy walking through those. I mainly look to see the age of the average death. Lots of time when you find one with young deaths (Kids and 30year old men) you can about guarantee it was a poor family or area. Older 60+ deaths usually signify wealthier individuals who didn't do manual labor (Which their "Manual" labor was far different than ours. They built a house starting with cutting one of many trees down)

But here is a site I find mountain biking. Obviously redone tombstones...
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3220/2866880954_52cc5f737e.jpg
And the entrance. Which it's called "Cemetary Hill" which is approriate because I feel like lying in a grave and dying after climbing that fucking hill...
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3146/2866048019_a3f314d3b6.jpg

Which I guess a weird hobby of mine is taking photos. But not typical artsy closeup shot of a leaf signifying some kind of greater meaning in life. I am known for taking pictures of people or things when they least expect it. I don't like posed pics and everyone I know, knows I always sneak in pics of them.

Damn. Noticed they were in a pose in that pic. I was taking a pic of the gate and they caught me just FYI.

Apparently graveyard interests isn't really odd or weird at all. The ex and I used to go exploring alot in graveyards and old rundown structures. We've explored alot of neat stuff while out riding.

One of my favorites is the remains of a manson in Mississippi. Here's a history plaque.

As far as weird hobbies I don't really have an extremely weird hobby. I do love to do home improvement which most consider work so its kinda weird that I enjoy it. I do have a strange obsession with the color yellow, not really a hobby but a little strange.

i don't have any weird hobbies either.

Bikes, pugs, internet, eating and more eating and shopping.

My latest obsession is looking at houses. I'm prob out on an avg of 3 days a week walking through the model homes we have out here. How they are built, decorated, etc, and getting a good idea of what i want and don't want when its time for me to buy.

I'm a foster pug mother now with Pug Rescue out here and i help with housechecks, making sure people are not going to eat their pugs when they adopt. I'm sure as time goes on, they will ask me to do more. Yeah some may think my pug obsession is a bit weird.

I've been looking at houses since i moved here a couple of years back. I went into contract when we first got here and then the market tanked so i lost my deposit and didn't end up getting it. Now i'm bargain hunting. Its so much fun! Not sure if i want to go with a new home or a old custom.

My parents and I used to be big on that. You should have seen our old place when we were given my great great uncle's lights. He was really big on decorating too. Wish I had pics.

I was asked what kind of hobbies I have in a class as part of the introduction. I didn't know what to put then and I still don't know what to put now. I used to mess around with HTML and build websites, but I got tired of using Angelfire.

I build my own computer controlled lights to music boards based on some DIY etches. Everything is built from complete scratch except the lights. I only had 40+ channels the first year. I will have 176 this year.
