Just wanted to let you know that Vertical Scope, a company that you advertise with that owns a number of motorcycle related forums. It has come to the attention of a number of people including myself that have had out IP addresses blocked from visiting these forums. While it does not seem liek much other than a bunch of internent nerds being banned for acting out on a website, what it does do is maintain a larger number of "active" users than what is actually represented by VS when they sell ad space. I also came to realize after the recent purchase of www.cycleforums.com that they have cut down on the number of posts per page, essentially doubling the number of clicks that the web site gets, without actually increasing web traffic. I will be the first to admit that I am very angry at VS for turning what was once a great community based forum into a shell of it's former self. Oh and by the way I was one of the first peopel on cycleforums to be IP-banned.

I only looked because I'm over on CF trying to recover pics I lost when my computer crashed. :(

CF holds alot of good and bittersweet memories. In some ways I miss CF but in other ways it's good that I'm away from there. It was time for me to move on, in more ways than one. After I recover my pics, I won't be back. However it's taking forever to sift through 20000 plus posts. :panic:

Its a pity that someone can be 42 years old, have been raised riding on the back of some motorcycle or other that her father always had around, can have ridden mini-bikes throughout her childhood and teenage years and fifty's as an adult, can have ALWAYS associated with those who ride, can have ridden on the back of more bikes than most riders have ridden, can have a husband who raced dirtbikes and rides streetbikes, and can be somewhat knowledgeable about bikes, and can love watching races, street and dirt, and be deemed "not worthy" of a motorcycle forum. :

Angee, I didn't actually ever log out of CF. I just would always get to my user cp through my browser, if that makes sense, and when I last tried I got the "banned" deal. I couldn't even get to a page that would allow me to log out but had to clear my cookies.

I was about to ask where it was posted. If VS/CF hadn't made all the photographers on the forum worry about their intellectual property by locking the old posts, making it impossible to retain control of their own work, then people might feel better about putting stuff up there.

were they posted on the site using photobucket or similar? if they were you can just move them to a different folder or do what I did, do some editing to the photo in photobucket, it changes the picture but doesn't brake the link.

Windows Vista? If so then rather than just running the command prompt from the Accessories group, you'll instead have to right click it and say "run as administrator." From that point on it's the way that I described.

The "run as administrator" part isn't required for XP, or previous Windows versions.

i could buy the whole guy trying to make a buck angle if he didn't enjoy the banning and arguments and internet god persona so much. the guy works for dicks but he is also one of them. granted he may not go far enough to fuck with other sites because that could put his job or company in jeapordy, but assuming he's a good guy is a stretch
