Well my super strong immune system has let me down. Got hit with a killer headcold, and the timing couldnt be better. In the middle of a string of workdays where i wasnt getting much sleep to begin with. Then to top it off I am goin gout to look at houses today, then in the ER tonight and am picking up an extra shift at the construction site on monday.
I guess i will sleep when I am dead, which I wish was rather soon:panic:

The same thing is happening to me since I've been stressing over not having a job and trying to get one. I haven't been sick in years except maybe for a little sniffle or a slighly sore throat. Nothing that really made me feel bad. I started feeling a little bad Friday so I began some OTC meds. It's not working. Today I woke up to a bad sore throat...so bad my glands on are swollen, my nose is almost completely stopped up but my sinuses are draining down the back of my throat. My eyes are weepy and I'm coughing pretty bad. I think I caught whatever Young Padawan had last week.....or Corey's somehow transferred his sickness and cooties via phone. The fucker.
For the record, I've been getting alot of sleep, but I'm still on my overnight schedule but have been trying to get myself back on a normal day schedule. So far, it's not been working well.

So I guess me possibly doing 20 hrs of work today isnt a good idea :idk:
in the ER for 8 hrs tonight, hopefully the snow buys me an ok night, then I am supposed to work at the construction site tomorrow but am hoping they shut it down due to the weather.

I hope it works out like you want it to. I know I feel like shit. I went and got some Tavist-D at the store and hope it will knock whatever I have out.

I hope I caught mine in time and this Zertec works. I can't afford a doc visit right now. I lost my insurance at the end of February.

i've always had insurance but have never gone to the doctor for sickness....i usually just try and fight it. Lots of vitamins. As much as it sucks when sick, exercizeing helps me.

Dont forget zyrtec is over the conter now too:dthumb:
Seems the real runny nose has stopped and its just the thick congestion. Hopefulyl were nearing the end of it. Mon night I may take something to help me breather and pop a few ambiens so I can get a solid 8 or 9 hrs of sleep.

Eric suggested that I get the Zertec. Today was the first time I bought an OTC and had to show my ID in order to purchase it. I knew they'd been doing that, but I haven't been sick since they put that into effect.
I'm feeling a little better than I was earlier. I can actually breath through my nose now. My throat still hurts like hell though.

I am a big fan of zyrtec myself, and prescribe it quite often. they seem to be cracking down on a lot of the medications now. good luck getting sudafed

Steph, you're taking the Zyrtec-D, don't take 2 at a time. That's a little heavy for the Sudafed in them and the Sudafed is why you had to show your ID, it's a main ingrediant for Meth production. Tommy thinks you're taking plain Zyrtec right now from what you typed earlier.
The Zyrtec-D is 5mg of Zyrtec, you can get the plain Zyrtec and it's a 10mg dose but directions say to take only 1 every 24 hrs. I take a Zyrtec-D at night and a regular Zyrtec in the mornings when I'm having problems with my sinuses.

if i am not mistaken zyrtec D is no tover the counter jsut the regular zyrtec, but i need to double check that to be sure.

It is technically, I buy it, and that's the one you have to show your ID for. You have to get it from a pharmacy counter (not on an open shelf) but it's non-perscription and they take the info off your Drivers license to track who's buying how much. The plain Zyrtec is on the shelf for anyone to pick up, the D is controlled because of the Sudafed in it.

You're right, and the bad thing is where I live is the meth capitol of the world. This part of N GA is just rural enough to make it easy for them to hide the production fairly easily and ATL is a main distribution point only 50 miles away. I heard at one time 80% of meth production was going on in this area.

Sorry, Tommy. I'm taking Zyrtec D. You should have caught it when I said I had to show my ID for it but you're not exactly well yourself.
I'm feeling better today. Not quite up to my normal but well enough that I may actually get a couple of things accomplished today. My throats is still sore but I can leave with that for now.

feeling more human again today. Got a little nap in at the site yesterdya and got out of there prety early. I ran a few errands then had to head home and do some shoveling. Fortunatley a lot of it was already done. I dug out thew rest of the driveway and thought I was going to die. between the congestion and very cold temps breathing was an adventure. Sleeping in was def the move, I do have to get more stuff done today but at least I have some energy.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I thought because I was feeling better yesterday I could get some shit done. Wrong. I started feeling bad again. It started with a sinus headache then had the hot/cold chill thing going last night. :( I probably shouldn't have gotten out yesterday.
This morning I'm feeling about like I did yesterday when I got up except I'm coughing alot more, which means my throat is sore. I can breathe about the same.
There's a job fair for Chase today, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to go. It lasts until this evening. I think I'll wait and see how well it warms up before getting out again. I don't need a repeat of yesterday.

Typically here they aren't that great from my understanding. I just recently sent in my resume to the various departments for Chase that's hiring that I'm qualified to work.
My housemate that works for the banking department said they are slow about going through resumes, although she was surprised at how quickly I got an interview for one position (the interview I had last week). She suggested going as it couldn't hurt to go.
Right now it's not even 40 degrees outside...hence why I'm waiting to see how warm it gets. I got out yesterday when it was cooler and I think that's why I developed a fever.
