We're only looking at 3-6 unless the storm track shifts.

My luck we won't get jack. That's how it's been all year. All I wanted was one "state of emergency" this year.

We've had a mix all day with maybe 1" of snow. So the entire state of Georgia has shut down. Good luck getting bread, milk or a 30hp Honda bagillion watt generator.

We're supposed to get snow too. I wouldn't be surprised if there was school or work cancelations for the total 1-3" we're supposed to get. Weaklings..

If snow is what you want, move to Upstate NY! I live west of Albany, so it hits here first...and it's higher elevation, so we generally get double what Albany gets. It would REALLY suck to be in Buffalo though...they dont bother to measure in inches.
We haven't seen the ground here since October...a few inches?? I drove 3/4 of the way through a one foot drop to get home 23 miles away...INTO the storm. Then I drove to work at the end of another one foot drop two days later. Nothing like trying to figure out where the lanes are cuz the plows can't get to it fast enough...

Uh-oh...I think I've been assimilated by the yankees! :panic:

That's not snow, and not even worth calling in late for.

Here are a couple.
This one is my back yard a couple weeks ago.

These are from thurs night, AFTER I had been snow blowing for about 3 hours :panic: (yes, I snowblow the city street when it gets that deep)
And NO, nothing was canceled.

And the street in front of my house, after I snowblowed enough to get my pickup in.

Or try northeast ohio. We're one of the few places that get the shit luck of having lake effect snow. I definitely feel your pain. Buffalo is one of the few places that makes me think areas winter isnt that bad.

The most I drove in personally was a little over a foot, but I'll never forget my parents driving in 2-3 feet+ in the noreasters that would hit Jersey.

I won't miss driving in them, but I do miss the giant snow storms.

My buddy's dad is from upper New York state. One weekend an old buddy of his came down to Georgia and were talking about cars so that caught my attention. My buddy's dad use to have a 1967 L88 Corvette. I remember the guy laughing about the time they got drunk and drove home with the only thing keeping them on the road the snow banks as they bounced from one side to the other.

That's funny because the time I drove in a foot of snow I was drunk too, and then I had to drive back to my place with a hangover the following day only to find myself outside shoveling. Not particularly proud of it all though..

Most of the staff were I work, has optional leave time/flex time today... but not me. I am considered "critical personnel" and I'm here. My boss though (same status) can't handle the conditions with her AWD and hasn't shown up yet (I have a front wheel drive and the double distance). :idk:

It's news worthy to get 2-3 inches of snow here, any month of the year :D That's why I like living here! Even though the snow made a perfect loop around my area it was cold but by Fri we're back to 50's for the lows and 70's for the highs :dthumb: Can you say riding weather? ;)

Im hoping for 50s on saturday so I can change the brakes on my mustang. If it was staying in the 50s right now Id have my bike back out and be riding again. Its been in the 10s and 20s the past few days with strong winds.
