Has anyone here altered the throw on their throttle? I bought a kit for shortening the throw on My busa. Just want to know if anyone has done this one and if they ran into any issues?

Busa with a 1/4 turn throttle... sounds scary.

Drewpy did a 1/5th turn on his RC IIRC...

I shortened the throttle on my 675 with an OEM tube from another bike.

It is definitely shorter but not short enough. Next step is a 1/5 turn.

The only real issue to be concerned with is taking up too much throttle cable. Make sure once the install is done that you can turn the bars lock to lock while the bike is running without causing the engine to rev.

If it does, you'll need to create extra slack in the cable by:
1. adjusting it at the carbs/throttle bodies OR
2. rerouting the cable to free it up OR
3. Getting a longer cable

I have an R1 throttle tube on my GSXR 1K. Shortened the pull quite a bit. Took a little time to get used to it, now it's feels like it belongs there.

G2 makes throttle cams with different profiles: http://g2ergo.com/shop/catalog/Street-4-1.html. Some of the cams make the throttle opening faster and some make it slower: http://www.cyclebuy.com/shopping/g2/g2_ergo.htm, but it's still 1/4 turn. It's been over two decades since I've been on a track, but throttle control is super important on twisty mountain roads. The cam for the FJ1300 seems to work very well: http://www.webbikeworld.com/r3/throttle-cam/.
