How many of you keep your bike key on a ring with other key(s)? Reason I ask is that I have never been one to keep any ring on my bike key so as I don't scratch up the bike. I want to put a house key and bike key on a ring, but am looking for a way to keep scratches from happening and make getting at either of the keys simple. :idk: What do you do, or do you say to hell with it and keep them both seperate in your pocket?

my ignition is on the side of most of my bikes so it's never been a problem. i'd try to get a key cover or something like that on a key ring

My bike key is always separate.
The only thing I have on the ring with the bike key is the soft key tag.

JUST a key - no ring, no fob, no other keys. I'd like my bike to stay unmarred. I have a key ring that goes in my pocket or my tank bag. Or stays home. Nothing on there I need on a ride usually.

I keep my bike key on its own ring with a little rubber bike silhouete attached to it. When I take the key out of the bike, it gets clipped to the rest of my keys with a d-ring.

Or you could get one of those little leather key wallets that hold all the keys and only let one out at a time.

truck and house keys on one ring, bike keys on individual rings. Actually the key to my VTX has a streamer thing, but not metal. And the key to my RC has a fob from deals gap. They're both Hondas so I gotta keep 'em separated somehow.

Only thing with my bike key is a soft rubber yamaha key chain

I kept mind on my regular key chain and would remove the bike key to ride the bike. In the ignition I would use the key only. After getting off the bike I would put it back on my keychain.

I have my Honda key, one of those mountain climbing hook thingies, Honda thing that I guess came from a gas station (Was on it when I got my bike) and my house key. Nothing major though. I always use the hook to loop to my jeans so my keys don't get lost.

Just a key.

No ring, no fob, nothing to fly around and hit any part of the bike. Especially with the Ducs - the ignition is in the front of the tank.

Bike Key with a Metal Ring and the house key and shed key on that...three keys but it lays right on the nut for the Bars...Kinda hard to explain but it doesnt scratch the bike.

I have a separate ring for my bike so that I can keep all the keys for the cable and disk lock with me. I have a little clip that releases the ignition key so that I can keep the ring in my pocket while ridding.

Ignition key, disc lock key and house key on a soft key fob for me. I don't give a shit about scratching the triple tree or the handlebar. The bikes get scratched sooner or later.

All I have is the bike key with a ring, my spare key is on a ring with my car keys, though.

Key with a Harley soft fob. Thats it. House keys stay in the tank bag.

Note the side of the bike:

My bike key is the only key on it's ring, with a soft rubber keyfob. We've got a garage keypad so I don't typically carry a house key, but if we're going to be out all day, or there's any chance of storms (where we might lose power) then I clip a housekey into my backpack, just in case).

They do make rubber covers for the top part of keys, and then you can also get sleeves for the narrower part. Basically a key condom. But between those two things, you could protect it pretty well from scratching stuff.

My key stays on its own keyring with a metal keychain shaped like tinkerbell. She brings me luck, and even being metal, neither that keychain nor any other has ever scratched up the bike.

just the key, the truck key is on it's own ring, house keys are on their own ring. don't want to scratch the bike, don't want too much weight on the lock cylinder of the truck.

I've thought about the leather wallet things like Grandma used to keep her keys in but they are kind of gay. :D IDK, I guess I'll just keep doing it the way I have been, but I was looking for a better way out. ;)

Just the key and an empty ring. That way when I'm not riding the key can be clipped to my carabiner with my house keys.

I have the same thing on mine but all my keys would rattle and buzz while riding. It drove me insane, so I not have just the ignition key that I can remove from the ring for riding.

I always keep it on a seperate ring with a large or colorful rubber fob. I have the diamond shaped superman emblem one right now. I want to be able to see it should I drop it off road (bike or key)...

Bike key is kept seperate from other keys. The only other thing on the ring is a soft keychain that came with it. I carry every other key on a different keychain I keep hooked to my jeans.

I just have the bike key....no ring...no fob. The ignition is on the side of the bike so there isn't really an issue...just a personal preference. :idk:

on my old bike I had my bike, my truck and my house keys only...

now that the X has keyless entry... I don't want that fob on it... so I'll just have the key and a house key. gotta find a tripple tree cover though... don't wanna scratch that bitch

My bike key is alone on a mini belt clip. Its my only key, so i dont wanna lose it off of the bike.

If i have any other keys, i put them in a bag with my wallet under the rear seat.

Seeing that gives me a headache. I remember going crazy trying to calculate all the angles and shit for a few chess pieces we machined in class. Turned out good though.

Bike key only in the ignition for me. Other keys are in my pockets.
