Beautiful day for Racing at JenningsGP yesterday...upper 70's...sun shining. Far too many crashes...and even one crash off of turn 1 brought the LifeFlight 'copter out before the first race.

There was a really good turnout, and some good racin'

The Vintage Class brought out some sweet old rides and close races

Oh no shit, you were out there? Were you racing or spectating? A friend of ours was racing in two groups yesterday. Spectacular day out there, though my heart sank when they brought in life-flight (and then a friend went down as well, though it appears nothing more than shaken up and a bit rashed).

We were hanging in the very first pit to the left of the gate to the track - with #101 (white R1 with yellow number plates). We were meandering around there pretty much all day.

 Yup, that's Jimmy.

He kicked ass. This was his first race in 15 years; he's in the senior (over 40) heavyweight () class, but he also rode in another group, just to get the track time. He didn't expect to even be competitive in that group, and came in in 3rd. But he came in FIRST in his race (WOOT!).

I'd never been to WERA races before; I was really expecting it to be just like a regular track day at Jennings... HAH! Far from it. WAY busier, and WAYYYYY faster. So much fun to watch. :rockout:

I remembered his white leathers and he was such a good instructor! I'm happy for him, thats awesome!

Not certain what type of races they are, but the first weekend in April I'll be at Jennings watching a buddy race, you gonna be out there that weekend by chance?

Yeah we were all really excited for him. He did awesome. :)

Hmmm.. not that I know of. I think the next time we'll be out there is May 30th or 31st (and that depends on if Chris is coaching or not).

CCS races are April 4-5. They are another series like WERA. I think April is their only visit to Jennings this season. This weekend was my last chance for a while, had to take advantage of it...I won't be doing anything except working everyday until April 16th...

I got this pic of 101 in the lead going into turn 1
