Fellow riders, it is with a heavy heart that I write this. A dear friend of mine "KJ" passed away on Saturday evening in North Carolina at 7:00 pm doing what he loved most, riding.
KJ had recently moved to N.C. from South Florida. While in Florida he touched many of our hearts. He was the type of person who was always willing to help anyone, with a very charismatic personality and outspoken nature that just drew people in.
We are coordinating a series of fundraisers to help raise funds for his significant other and 5 children. I am personally doing a fundraiser for him. All you need to do is go to my website www.marykay.com/monibarrios (note "KJ" in the comment field) and submit your order. 50% of the proceeds will go to his family. Please take a moment to look at it. Every little bit helps. We will also be having a picnic this Saturday and possibly a night at a club event.
