They have been a bit rough, my best friends uncle passed, his father passed, and now my uncle is in the ICU with what has been given a 50/50 shot, (I figure more of a 70/30 in the negative) for living. For some reason this has caused me to want a family more than ever but also gives me a terrible feeling that I will pass with out having really lived life(I.E. no wife, no kids, etc...)
I just want you all to take a minute realize how special your family really is, how insignificant problems really are, and what life means to you.

Condolences on the losses of those close to you and the illness of your uncle.
Be with the family you have, and live life every day you can.

I'm sorry, Dova. Your family are in my thoughts.
You're a really good guy, Dova, with a huge heart. There is a lucky woman out there for you. :)
If you ever need to talk, and not just drunken dialing, I'm always here. :)

Hey bro... I know what you mean... But just because you haven't gotten all you wanted or expected.. Doesn't make your life less fulfilling... Don't get caught up in what you want so much you forget to enjoy what you have. I'm nowhere near where I wanted or expected to be at my age... And for a while got really bummed that I was so far away it seemed... But the fact is.. The harder you worry about it and try and change it.... The only thing that you get is more opportunities lost.
I hope your fortune changes... Both with your loved ones and your love life...

Well gentlemen my uncle passed away this morning, under the conditions I would say its probably the best thing that could have happened.
For those of us that have family tell them you love them, and spend a few extra minutes and express it.

Somewhat...
He had a heart attack which caused his lungs to fill up with fluid, by the time he got to the hospital his body was swelling up (edema), his heart could not receive a stint, or bypass surgery his veins were twisted in such a way neither were an option(at least this is what I was told).
So even if they were to bring the edema down in the body and remove the fluid in the lungs I am not sure how the quality of life would have been. Also during the the start of it all his oxygen levels dropped into the 30's, and his heart stopped twice during this, so we did not know if he would have received brain damage. He was put on a machine to breath for him, and was put into a coma to try to get his body to work and fix all this stuff. While the doctors were putting enough into him to dope an elephant.
All of this was sudden, was going in for regular check ups, he actually had a doc. appointment a day after he had his heart attack. He was healthy, ate good, and exercised. It can happen in an instant ladies and gentlemen...

Sorry to hear this bud.
2009 has been shitty for me and my family thus far as well. It's just a comedy of errors at this point. We all got to the point the other day where we were cracking up about it because things just keep going wrong.
Oh well, chin up.
