Hey all, I haven't been on much lately (other than to check the smileyman forum )
Hope everybody is out riding and enjoying this early Spring. This is the type of stuff I've been doing...
Before...

After
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa198/fpzx10/100_2604.jpg
I built this chair to go with it
http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa198/fpzx10/100_2608.jpg
I saved a bunch of money on the fire pit. I used the bowl off an old $30 firepit, stacked the stone, and put the bowl down in it. It just lifts out for cleaning

I also wanted candle lanterns, but they were $25 each = $150 for the set. So I went to the camping section and got old oil lanterns for $5 each. I sprayed them with hammered metal paint and filled them with citronella oil to help keep the bugs away

I've done lots of projects, but I am most proud of this one.

Very nice work!
Do you have any special woodworking tools or are you doing it by sawhorse and circular saw?

Not for a project like this. Most of this was just time and good old labor. The ends of the beams were cut with a jigsaw. The posts with a circular saw. A hammer drill for setting the post anchors, levels, drills, and lots of screws. That's pretty much it

No. It is called a Pergola. It is suppose to be decorative and provide minimal shade. We MAY put some type of cool fabric over it in the hotter months.
Can I come over? :D

I figured as much. Those are kind of strange to me; they just look unfinished. :D Looks really nice though. You have a talent that I am envious of. I get scared when the words hammer and nails are used in the same sentance. :lmao:

Then you could build that. There isn't a single nail in it. I prefer screwing

Psst...he'll never call!! I have decided that what was once kevin was truly an alien in disguise, who then went home to his island in the stars and left a changeling in his space who has never reappeared when friends are near. They're afraid we'll find out and tell the world!
 I am teasin Kev, tho it woulda been nice to see ya this past fall on the way to Indy. Are you off 65? So maybe I could stop in and say hi on the way up...
