bought a sirius radio off a buddy needing some cash, he said when he got it, he got 5yrs of service, and that there was probably 4yrs left on it, how can i find out exactly how much is left?

Each receiver is registered to who ever called it in. You might have to have him see or you might just be able to give them the serial number off the receiver.

I've never checked, just registered.

Don't call. I've heard they don't actually have the power to 'shut' them off. So just wait it out. It might never expire.

Listening to Howard 100 right now.

Hubby has XM radio though I think Sirrius and XM merged. Anyway, Hair Nation is a pretty good station.

If my shut off you mean cut off service to your unit, then I would have to say they do have the power. XM does so why can't Sirius.

I think he will have to call. If you paid a lot for it I would get him to call or show you proof that he paid it. If you paid less then what the unit was worth I would just enjoy it till it shuts off, then if you like it you can get service in your own name.

Sirius FTW.

XM blows..... hate XM in teh wife's car, same song on two or three stations at one time.

Sirius in the truck.... RAWR! 20-Octane and 24-Lithium FTMFW!

don't forget to not neglect 36 BPM and 74 Bluesville.

now that they've merged the playlist is the same, and IMO the playlist has gotten worse.

i preferred sirius.

I agree 1000%. Since the merger the playlist has gotten really bad. Merger sucks.

My old neighbor has a sirius radio hooked up in his garage. I couldn't believe how much selection there was even for just one genre of music. The sound quality was great too.

I liked the XM play list much better before the merger.
