What series is that racing in? It's definately growing on me, but I'll never own a litre bike.

There will be several test and most likely more than one winner BUT Honda has really stepped it up in performance.
It's definitely a nice bike and the looks is growing on me too.

I said the same thing in 1978 when I had my GT750.

I saw 2 new 08 CBR1000s at a local Honda dealership. Not a big fan of the looks but compare it to my bike and anything looks good. Which really too me the only good looking Litres that I like is well the Yamaha R1.
Really all I am concerned about it performance. Actually Performance under street conditions for average riders. Not 110lb Italian race jockies on prepped tracks.
Still think the 600rr is the best looking sport bike out there period(Besides the Triumph 675 Daytona).
Funny that the GSXR1000 came in last. I know some die hard Suzuki fans out there who think any other bike made is crap and that "Gixxers" where hand crafted by God for God. Might do a little face rubbing with this.

I just saw a red one and a yellow one at the dealer this weekend. I don't like them one bit.. They look like their nose got bashed in. I did see the 08 GSXR 600 too, a blue one and a white one. They look real good. Cant wait to see an all black one.

I agree. Solid performance or not...they are ugly as hell.

ahhhh it's a cycle in my opinion. I'm not going the bias route but you have to remember, regardless of their "credentials" these are still just people with pre conceived notions. Also, there's a very human trait to wish for the downfall of anyone or anything that is "too" successful. When someone wins all the time people naturally want them "taken down a peg or two". You see it everywhere and in all areas of our culture.
Besides, all these bikes are so similiar in performance that the only real difference is styling. Just pick the bike you like the looks of best and go for it! I certainly wouldn't let he opinions of two or three guys make my motorcycle buying decision for me.
I was a die hard Yamaha fan from the late seventies thru 2000 all my bikes were Yamaha. All the mechanical probs I had with my 95 FZR1000 and my 97YZF1000 changed all that. I saw all my friends riding Hondas and Suzukis without problems. I liked the Zuks looks, price and performance. Started buying them and thru 4 bikes(knock on wood) I have NEVER had a mechanical problem with any Suzuki I have owned. Anyway, Suzuki will update/redesign the 1000 next year and it'll all change again.:dthumb:
